Sandrine Hecq, the CEO founded Soft Winkz on her most recent travels to her home country of Africa. She stumbled across a very special pillowcase, this pillowcase was so special in fact that she instantly fell in love. Fell in love not only with the look, and the feel, but the vision and benefits behind it too.
What was so special about this pillowcase? It was beautiful and luxurious, yet, unlike silk, it wasn’t harmful to animals or the environment. As an avid animal lover, Sandrine was quick not only to switch from silk to satin, but to add this to her list of passions and see how she could help – and help she did!
Within only a few days of discovering this special satin pillowcase and its myriad of benefits, Sandrine began researching and working through the night, to find a way to bring such a pillowcase to her new home in Australia. A few weeks later, Soft Winkz was born.

At the beginning of the Soft Winkz journey, Sandrine discovered through online research and local cancer council , that Doctors actually recommend satin pillowcases to cancer patients following chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Not only does satin provide a little bit of luxury and comfort to those going through a time of need, it also enables the new hair to retain moisture, promoting growth.
When Sandrine was a teenager, she almost lost her mum to breast cancer, so this is a benefit that is truly close to her heart.
