Mānawatia a Matariki ✨ Celebrating the beginning of our Māori Lunar New Year with good company, great kai and looking forward to the future. Already off to a great start because some of my paintings are being exhibited in Whitley Fish Bowl Gallery at the Agonis. They’ll be there for a month till about the 14th August. I’ll be posting the days later on in the week when I’ll be situated in the gallery, so you can come say hi! 🖤

My day has been productive so far, oldest is at school, candles are packaged and ready for the postie. And I’m working on some bright and colourful children’s paintings that I can’t wait to share with you soon! 💗🙈❤️🧡💙💚💛 Fingers crossed for me that I get my paints out today.

Eden’s back and she went to another arts and craft workshop 🙈 omg you can’t keep me away! These polymer clay earrings are so cuuutteee!!! 🌺 I had such an amazing time celebrating and of course a little self-love on Valentines ☺️💗🫶🏽 Ive never made anything with polymer clay before and had this amazing workshop that I just couldn’t pass up. I made some more smaller pieces which once I’ll put together with the jewellery findings I’ll be sure to share.

Stocking up on supplies for my next batch of candles. S’melt Candle Creations in Gosnells is my local supplier and go to place for premium fragrances and professional grade soy based wax. That’s why my candles are the best for a clean burn and everyone whose smelled them knows you can’t beat the fragrance of a homemade candle 🕯

I have loved seeing this piece come together. I didn’t really have a solid plan at the beginning but I did wanted to focus on emphasising shapes with lightness and shadows. I might revisit it later but for now it’s done. 👩🏻‍🎨 Let me know what you think below! 💭👇🏽🪨
