What’s cookin’ for dinner, good lookin’? 🍽️

In our household, we love switching things up—some nights it’s a cozy curry, other nights it’s a fresh Asian stir-fry, a big Italian-inspired veggie dish, or a hearty salad packed with goodness. We cook at home a lot because it’s healthier, and honestly, nothing beats a homemade meal!

If you’re dealing with a chronic illness like IBS, fibromyalgia, lupus, or any autoimmune condition, what you eat really matters. Here are some simple tips to help support your body:

🌿 Keep it light on fats & animal proteins – Your liver works overtime when you eat heavy fats, meats, dairy, and processed oils. If digestion feels sluggish, bloating happens too often, or energy is low, cutting back on these can make a difference.

🥦 Focus on easy-to-digest, nutrient-packed foods – Leafy greens, fruits, and starchy veggies are all easier on your gut and help your body absorb the nutrients it actually needs.

🍎 More glucose, less stress on your system – Your heart and organs need glucose to function properly. A diet too high in fat can slow down nutrient absorption and thicken your blood, making it harder for your body to work efficiently.

💧 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – But remember, if you’re eating a high-fat diet, even drinking lots of water won’t be enough to fully hydrate your body. Keeping fats low helps your body actually use the water you drink!

Eating well doesn’t have to be complicated—just listen to your body, fuel it with the right foods, and give it the chance to heal. 💚

✨ 2021 Me Would Be So Proud ✨
In 2021, I was bedridden with a chronic illness for almost a year. I couldn’t even talk because my brain couldn’t send the messages to my body. It was one of the hardest times of my life, but I believed I could heal.
That belief led me to discover resources as my last resort—and I’m so thankful I didn’t stick to the doctors’ and naturopaths’ paths, which had no answers.
If you’re bedridden or battling a chronic illness right now, I want you to know: healing starts with believing it’s possible. For me, it required a mindset shift. When I first got my diagnosis, I clung to it as my identity because it finally explained why I felt so terrible. But identifying with the diagnosis kept me stuck.
This year, I accomplished something I never thought possible—I moved across the country. That’s no small feat, and 2021 me would be so proud of how far I’ve come.

1 week til summer 🫶🏼 finally feeling that summer weather and we be enjoying with our daily juices & smoothies, swims, and markets. Getting into routine and knowing all the local places 🫶🏼 1st pic is my fave hack! We get a weekly veg box delivered because it makes life so much easier. So the day before it gets delivered, I basically juice whatever I can! My fave go to that we almost make that we have extra of is orange, carrot and ginger 💕 another good one this week was lettuce, pear and ginger. Ginger makes everything so yum 💕

Life has been so good since the move. It was such a huge move to make but it’s come with some many blessings… obviously finally having enough room to have a dog! Which we have moved to the most lush place with dog parks/beaches everywhere. So much community here. It’s been such an adventure. We’ve always wanted to come to ! Thinking about the South Australia wineries on the other side of the nullabor really got us through that dusty no reception part of the trip lol! It was so stunning! The restaurant was sooo amazing. It was a feed me menus and we were fed the most delicious gluten free and vegan menu. Honestly yum! Still drooling lol. South Australia has been sooo incredible with the food and wine. Definitely worth the drive through the nullabor lol. Now on our way to vic! We’re 2/3 done with our road trip now! Nearly at our final destination in NSW 👋🇦🇺🚐 follow along on our van account 🫶

Holiday outfits roundup 🫶 I packed so many colourful patterned dresses and skirts and honestly wore everything I brought. I had so much fun dressing for the tropics and now that we’re back in Perth and it’s been constant rain and wind for a week, I definitely miss the colourful vibes! August is peek time to travel to Bali because it’s their winter but it was perfect weather, not too hot or rainy. Perfect for long dresses at night. I had way too much dressing for this holiday so definitely had to memorialise it. Now I just want to go on more tropical holidays!

Bali moments! Honestly I had no idea how much I needed this tropical cultural holiday!! I hadn’t left Australia for 6 years due to visa restrictions and honestly wow my soul needed this. As well we left WA when the weather was the worst and we’ve also come back and it’s been constant rain and wind. I honestly miss this trip so much and can’t wait to plan another one!!! Summer is on its way but right now in the WA wind and rain, I’m dreaming of this dreamy trip I’m so thankful we took!
