SeaStock secures FaBA co-investment to accelerate clean-label ingredient innovation. 🍓🍨🥤

SeaStock has secured $740,000 matched co-investment from the Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) to support the development and certification of safe, high-purity ingredients that meet Australian and international food and beverage standards.

This marks a significant milestone in SeaStock’s commercialisation of Ruby Sea™ — our clean-label, high-purity red pigment (R-Phycoerythrin) extracted from Asparagopsis algae.

This partnership plays a pivotal role in advancing SeaStock’s IP-led strategy and circular production model, helping us deliver sustainable, natural ingredients designed for the next generation of food and beverage innovation.

We’re proud to collaborate with FaBA, an Australian Government-backed initiative uniting industry and research to advance science-led innovation across the food sector, as we move closer to bringing Ruby Sea™ to market.

🌍 Around the world, the move away from synthetic dyes like Red Dye No. 3 is making headlines. Regulators, brands, and consumers alike are calling for safer, more sustainable alternatives.

From PepsiCo, Mars, Kellogg’s and Kraft Heinz to Hershey, Nestlé and Conagra, global food and beverage leaders have committed to phasing out artificial colours by 2027 — a clear signal of the growing demand for natural solutions.

At SeaStock, we’re advancing the next generation of natural pigments.

✨ RUBY SEA™, our natural algae-derived pigment has the potential to deliver vibrant red colour as a clean-label, science-backed alternative to petroleum-based dyes.

Why it matters:

đź”´ Synthetic dyes are under increasing scrutiny for health and environmental concerns.
🔴 RUBY SEA™ offers a safe, natural, and sustainable alternative.
🌊 From foods and beverages to cosmetics, we’re helping to shape a future where colour comes from nature — not petroleum.

The future of colour is natural. Let’s build it together.

📌 September was a busy month for SeaStock!

From Houston Energy & Climate Startup Week to boardroom discussions with global leaders, we were proud to showcase WA innovation on the international stage.

🤝 Supported by the Australian Government and the Australian Consulate-General in Houston, we had the privilege of hearing from Paul Grimes (CEO, Austrade), Gabrielle Hall (Consul-General, Houston) and Brianna Peake (Investment and Trade Commissioner for the Americas) on the importance of global partnerships.

✨ A highlight was joining an outstanding group of WA startups — together shining a spotlight on innovation in 2025.

🇦🇺🇺🇸 The connections built in Houston are just the beginning as we continue driving impact across agriculture, food and beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

📢 SeaStock launches Series A Capital Raise

SeaStock has commenced its Series A Capital Raise to accelerate the next phase of growth and commercialisation. The raise opened last week with a Priority Offer to existing shareholders, which has already received significant follow-on support. We are now extending the opportunity to additional interested parties as we progress this pivotal round.

Over the past four years, the Company has achieved a series of milestones, including:

🔹The first commercial sale of its concentrated bromoform product, Alga Toro™

🔹The launch of its natural red pigment brand, Ruby Sea™

🔹The establishment of major commercial partnerships with leading companies (with further details subject to confidentiality agreements at this stage)

🔹Strong support from government and industry programs backing the development of sustainable technologies

SeaStock is also advancing feasibility engagements with major resources and energy providers, enabling the deployment of its proprietary dual-extraction technology to support large-scale carbon sequestration and credit generation.

The Series A will provide funding to construct and commission the first phase of SeaStock’s commercial-scale production facility, progress regulatory approvals for Ruby Sea™ in food, beverage and cosmetics applications, and expand international commercialisation efforts. With proven technology, validated commercial pathways and growing global demand for sustainable marine-science solutions, SeaStock is positioned at a pivotal point in its journey.

Turning Mine Pit Water into Climate Solutions

We’re proud to see SeaStock featured in National Resources Review for our innovative collaboration with Regis Resources.

Together, we’re assessing how underutilised mine pit water can be repurposed to cultivate Asparagopsis and other algae species — unlocking solutions to:

âś… Support Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) generation
âś… Mitigate over 1.3 million tonnes of COâ‚‚ annually
âś… Meet the demand of more than half a million cattle per day
âś… Create long-term, sustainable employment opportunities
âś… Enable the generation of future renewable energy such as SAF, further supporting global decarbonisation initiatives

Importantly, the potential of algae-based solutions extends beyond agriculture and mining. For the oil & gas sector, algae cultivation and compound extraction represent practical, scalable pathways to reduce methane and COâ‚‚ emissions, while contributing to net zero strategies.

This 12-month staged study marks a significant step in transforming existing infrastructure into large-scale algae production facilities — delivering both environmental impact and economic value.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the Grower Group Alliance team at SeaStock HQ in Fremantle. 🌾

The group visited as part of their team development program, with a focus on exploring value-adding opportunities for on-farm waste streams. During their time at SeaStock, they toured our facilities, viewed our growing tanks and learnt more about our work to cultivate seaweed both at our Fremantle site and in planned on-farm trials.

We discussed how Asparagopsis can play a role in creating new revenue streams for farmers while delivering environmental benefits such as reduced methane emissions, improved soil health and the potential for natural pigment and bioactive extraction. 🧑‍🌾

It’s always exciting to connect with industry groups who share our vision for innovation in agriculture and the circular economy.
