TONY’S STORY
My name is Tony, and I am 83 years of age.
I live around 15km from Geraldton WA, and my wife passed away in 2023.
I was diagnosed with colon cancer resulting in a series of gastro-intestinal operations, infections, recovery complications, and multiple admissions to hospital in Perth over a period of around 10 months. (I am happy to say I am now nearly-fully recovered).
During my 7 periods of hospital discharge I stayed with my family in Fremantle.
My son works away, my daughter-in-law works full time in the city and my granddaughter is a full time student.
In this situation, my family and I quickly realised we needed help with many different aspects of my convalescence and recovery.
Thankfully Heidi and Lilly were recommended to us and we engaged them early on.
Heidi and Lilly visited me nearly every day at my family’s home.
They provided invaluable assistance with: surgery wound treatment, medications, advice on medical diagnoses, help navigating the health system, as well as my personal hygene, clothes washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and transport.
At all times they were punctual, professional, efficient, understanding, caring and kind-hearted.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Without their help, my convalescence would have been extremely difficult for both my family and myself.
I highly recommend Heidi and Lilly to assist anyone within their catchment area, with challenges recovering from health issues.
