Session 3 of the Abalone fishing season has been given the green light 🚦to go ahead. You’ll find our volunteer Lifesavers 🟥🟨 at the Mindarie foreshore. Thank you to our amazing team.

⚠️ Session 3 has been confirmed to go ahead this Saturday, 7 February from 7am to 8am.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an epic week we've had down in Albany at the Country Carnival celebrating our incredible Quinn's Mindarie Teams.

We represented Little Nippers, Nippers, Youths, Opens and Masters and had some amazing results from newbies and old pros. From first timers at a carnival to first place finishers, everyone gave it their all and did us proud.

We cheered till we had no voices left (especially for Simon at the last flag event) we sang proudly (oh when the Quinn's ...), we laughed till our sides hurt (thanks Ethan) and we even danced the night away at the after party put on by our incredible hosts Albany Surf Life Saving Club

We spent the rest of the week on a high, surfing, adventuring and bonding as teammates.

Big thank yous go out to so many....

Surf Sports Managers (Lee & Tristan) who coordinated everything.
Our officials (Claire, Bevan & Mark) who kept things moving and stood in the heat all day.
Our coaches (Mitch, Emilia, Darren, Brad & Paul) that trained our team in the lead up and during the carnival week.
Our parents who are the biggest cheerleaders and keep the community spirits high within the team. Marshalling, feeding, hydrating and entertaining the kids (who often aren't their own).

We can't wait for next year at City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club. We'd love to have more families join us!

Today is a National Day of Mourning.

Today we honour the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack and remember the heroism of the first responders.

We encourage all Surf Life Saving Members and our followers to join us in remembrance by:
- observing a minute of silence at 4:01pm (AWST);
- coming together with family and friends to share a meal and spend time with people of all faiths and backgrounds;
- leaving a candle on your doorstep or windowsill as a symbol of remembrance, mourning and solidarity with the Jewish community;
- doing a good deed or 'mitzvah' for Bondi; and/or
- sharing a message of condolence online.

Light will win.
