🌊 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 | Develop your child's beach confidence & make the most of your summer with our SurfBabies & SurfKids Programs!

The program is designed for children aged 2 to 7 years old. Held at a range of beaches across WA, these six-week courses take place on Saturday mornings and familiarise children with the beach and ocean environment. Parent participation is a must!

🧠 Concussion Awareness Session – Thank You Dr. Sexton! 🙌

A huge thank you to Dr. Conor Sexton from Mindarie Chiropractic Centre, one of our amazing club sponsors, for generously giving up his time last week to run a powerful session on concussion for our IRB team and members.

It was eye-opening to learn how a concussion can affect so many different systems in the body—not just the brain! From balance to memory to emotional regulation, the impacts are wide-reaching and important for all of us to understand, both on the beach and beyond.

🧠 Concussion & Head Injuries in Sport–Free Information Session 🧠

Concussions and head injuries can happen anywhere—on the beach, on the playing field, or during training. Knowing what to do in those critical moments can make all the difference in preventing further injury and ensuring the best care for those affected.

We’re inviting all club members to join us for this valuable and practical session, where Dr. Conor Sexton from one of our awesome local sponsors, Mindarie Chiropractic Centre, will be sharing his knowledge and expertise on recognising, managing, and responding to head injuries.

✅ IRB Drivers & Crew
✅ Age Group Managers
✅ Coaches

✅ Patrolling Members
✅ Youth (recommended for older juniors and teens)
✅ Anyone involved in surf sports or supporting our athletes

🏕 For members aged 18 - 25, our Young Leaders Camp will provide the opportunity to participate in a range of physical & social activities to develop personal leadership skills.

The camp will be held at our South West Development Centre in Margaret River from August 22 - 24 and travel subsidies are available for members of regional clubs!

All Surf Life Saving members are entitled to attend FREE First Aid Courses through Surf Life Saving WA — giving you an accredited qualification and, more importantly, the skills to make a real difference when it counts.

Whether you're refreshing your knowledge or learning for the first time, first aid training is one of the most valuable things you can do.

With the first session of Abalone fishing schedule for this Saturday (14th Dec) we want to remind all our locals to be safe out in the water.
