✨ That’s a wrap on another incredible year at Quinns Mindarie SLSC! ✨

As we head into the holiday season, we just want to say a huge thank you to every single person who makes our club so special. Without you, our little club simply wouldn’t be what it is.

From our Nippers and their parents braving those chilly Sunday mornings, to our surf sports athletes putting in the hard yards at training…
To our Age Group Managers and parent liaisons, our coaches for the incredible effort they put into our growing coaching programs, and our Silver Salties, who we absolutely love seeing around the club, you all play such an important part.

We also want to extend a massive thank you to our sponsors. Your generous sponsorship and ongoing support make such a difference, and without you, we simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

A special shout-out as well to our patrolling members, who will continue giving up their time over the holiday period to help keep our beach safe. If you’re down at the beach during the break, be sure to say hello and thank them, we are incredibly grateful for the commitment and care they show our community.

We are so thankful for the community we are building together and can’t wait to see it continue to grow and thrive with all of you.

Shoulder to Shoulder - Silent Reflection

This Saturday, 20 December, QMSLSC will pause together for a 3-minute silence before our 8:00am patrol commences.

We invite all patrolling members who wish to participate to come down to the beach in uniform and be on the sand, standing shoulder to shoulder along the shoreline, facing the sea.

This moment is to show our respect and support for our fellow lifesavers in Sydney, who have endured something none of us ever hope to experience.

Members of the broader community are also warmly welcome to join us on the beach to pay their respects.

Silent reflection on the water’s edge

Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club and North Bondi SLSC invite lifesavers across Australia to come together at the start of their patrols on Saturday to observe 3 minutes of silence to pay our respects. They would like to encourage you to wear your patrol uniforms, stand shoulder to shoulder in a line along the shore facing the sea, and observe a 3-minute silence before your patrol commences.

We stand shoulder to shoulder to show we are a united group of surf lifesavers and lifeguards across the country.

We encourage you to do this as a show of support for fellow lifesavers and recognition of the tragedy that has unfolded at Bondi while also reflecting on our respect and compassion for the Jewish community targeted by this attack.

We ask that there are no speeches, just silence, as we pay respects to those who lost their lives, those who risked their lives, those who worked so hard to save lives, and all of us who will never forget.

🎄 Christmas Hamper Raffle! 🎁

A huge thank you to Tracey Roberts - Federal Member for Pearce for her incredible generosity in donating two Christmas hampers to support our club.

Hampers will be raffled this Saturday at our Christmas Sundowner, with all funds raised going directly towards our End of Season Party, where we get to celebrate another fantastic season together!

Our Bronzies are hitting the beach! ❤️💛

It’s an exciting milestone for our newest Bronze Medallion holders, who are now ready to step into the upcoming patrol season. Some have grown through the club from Nippers and their SRC, while others have joined us more recently as adults - all united by a commitment to surf safety and giving back to our community 🤩

We can’t wait to see you all on patrol and putting those new skills into action. A huge thank you as well to our incredible volunteer training team, we truly appreciate the time, effort, and dedication you’ve put in 🥰.

The Bronze Medallion is the foundation of everything we do on patrol, equipping members with essential surf awareness, rescue skills, and first aid knowledge to help keep our beach and community safe.

A fantastic morning was had over the weekend by our U8 and U9 athletes at the Fuel to go & Play Little Nipper Carnival at Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club! ☀️

We’ve heard it was an awesome day, with our youngest competitors doing a brilliant job representing our club. Most importantly, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and happy faces, which is exactly what nippers is all about 🤩

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, including our officials and water safety volunteers! A special shout-out to those who competed in their very first carnival. What an achievement!

Enjoy a well-earned break, and we can’t wait to see you all back on the beach on 4th January as we get ready for the next carnival - right here at Quinns! 🩵🤍💙

What a way to wrap up the year! ☀️

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect morning for our final Nippers session of 2025!

Crystal-clear water, big smiles, and plenty of splashing made for the best cool-down from the sizzling heat. It was fantastic to see so many of our Nippers out in the water, having an absolute ball and soaking up the summer vibes.

A special shout-out to Santa, too, we’re guessing the temperatures were a little warmer here than the North Pole! 🎅😅

As always, a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and today’s patrol for keeping everyone safe and making the session run so smoothly. We couldn’t do it without you!

📣 Reminder: Our Christmas Sundowner is on next Saturday, 20th December, 4pm- 8pm with a DJ, foam party (bring towels & a change of clothes!), face painting and food trucks - this one is not to be missed!

🎄 Nippers returns back to the beach on Sunday 4 January - enjoy the break, but we know you are all going to miss us!

Last Nippers Session for 2025!

Tomorrow is our final Nippers session for the year, and we’d love to see as many of our smiling Nippers down on the beach as possible before we break for the holidays (there might even be a special visitor 🎅).

It’s set to be a hot one, so please remember plenty of water and don’t forget to slip, slop, slap that sunscreen.

After the session, stick around for a sausage or burger at our BBQ proudly sponsored by Protemp Air conditioning and Refrigeration. Every dollar raised helps support our club, and we’re so grateful for the ongoing support of all our local sponsors like Pro Temp.

A huge congratulations to youth member Brady, who has been selected for the Surf Life Saving Australia Young Leaders Working Group! This is an outstanding achievement and a true reflection of the passion, dedication, and leadership Brady brings to our youth program and club, he now gets to show this on a national stage!

The Young Leaders Working Group plays a vital role in representing the views, ideas, and needs of youth across Australia, helping shape the future of our organisation for the next generation. We’re so proud to see Brady stepping into this space and making his mark.

Christmas Sundowner is coming - Let’s Celebrate Together!

It’s that time of year when our whole Quinns family comes together - from our littlest Nippers to our patrolling members, coaches, Silver Salties, and every friend and supporter in between.

Join us on Saturday 20 December, from 4pm–8pm and support this special night. Not only is it a chance to kick back and celebrate the year, but your attendance helps support the club we all love and every smiling face truly makes a difference.

Expect plenty of fun with a DJ, foam party, face painter and an obstacle course, all set against one of the most spectacular sunsets on the coast. (We might even kick off our inaugural Christmas Volleyball Comp… if someone gets us a new net in time!)

And this time, our volunteers get to relax too! Two wonderful food-truck vendors Mr Chips Fish & Chips and Osakaya Okonomiyaki will be serving up delicious options to keep everyone fuelled as we enjoy the vibes right through sunset. We’d love you to support these fantastic local businesses who are helping give our volunteers a well-deserved night off cooking.
