Thank goodness for our pets when our interactions with people need to be so limited!
If you are self isolating because you or anybody in your household would be at high risk if they contract covid-19 and you're uncomfortable going out to walk your dog, we at Critters would like to offer you half price dog walks until we as a community are clear of this pandemic, to help our clients (and their pets) get through this. This comes to $12.50 for a 20min walk, plus $2.50 per additional 10 minutes. This applies to both new and existing clients. We may also be able to offer discounts to healthcare workers and anybody experiencing financial hardship, so contact your local pet sitter to discuss your individual circumstances.
We will, of course, take every measure to reduce the risk of disease transmission to and from all our clients, and are happy to discuss these measures with you. We'll be observing very strict hand hygiene before entering your property or touching your pets, and can use our own leads to avoid the need to touch yours. Depending on your home setup, we can pick your dog up at the gate or otherwise find ways to keep our distance from you, and of course we will not be coming by if we experience any symptoms (we can try to arrange another of the Critters Pet Care team to walk your dogs in such a situation). Wherever possible, we'll be conducting initial consultations remotely, either via the phone or video calls. We'll also avoid contact between your dog and members of the public: while dogs can't be vectors for coronavirus, it's possible they can be a surface on which the virus might sit, if the public are allowed to pat them.
If you have any symptoms of respiratory illness or fever, or suspect you may have been exposed to somebody with covid-19, please inform us before we visit your home so we can take appropriate measures to reduce risk to ourselves.
