We've been sitting on this for months and can't keep it quiet any longer.

As Australia's first dedicated custom orthotics clinic, we've always believed in one thing: if it moves, it should move well. And frankly, it's been bothering us that we've ignored an entire population that could use our help.

Dogs.

Four limbs, four times the mechanical complexity. Breed-specific arch profiles. Greyhounds with excessive forefoot loading. Bulldogs with catastrophic rearfoot collapse. Golden retrievers who overpronate on all four paws and nobody says a word.

So we're now offering full biomechanical assessments for dogs.

▪️ Four-limb gait analysis
▪️ 3D paw scanning and pressure mapping
▪️ Custom orthotics for all four feet (sold in sets of two or four)
▪️ Breed-specific correction protocols

We've already put this to the test on a 4-year-old cavoodle named Kevin. His owner brought him in after noticing he was wearing down the claws on his left back paw faster than the others. Turns out his back leg was rolling inward and his gait was suspiciously lazy. Six weeks in custom devices and he's a completely different dog.

“WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME THESE THINGS BEFORE?” 🤯😫🥲

Many of our clients would tell us that after a consultation with us. It is not unusual for someone to have tried just about every thing before ending up in our consultation room. Most are not sure why they seem to just be going around in circles. Nothing seems to make sense. It’s frustrating. It’s disheartening. It’s exhausting. We get that - we would be too if we were in the same situation.

Finding clarity is hard enough, let alone the “right” answer. Bear in mind that what is “right” can look very different to different people. But without clarity, trying to get to any kind of meaningful answer is challenging. Once you have clarity about the situation AND what you want, you have a much better chance of finding the solution that is right for you.

Our clients think knowing these 5 things would have saved them a lot of headaches and foot aches…
1️⃣ Pain is a signal, not an enemy.
2️⃣ Of course it’s the feet! Why didn’t I think of that?
3️⃣ Hypermobility is a ligament issue, not a weakness issue.
4️⃣ Rest doesn’t solve the problem
5️⃣ A sustainable solution is a good solution

AND, THAT’S A WRAP 🌯

Every chapter comes to an end, and, inevitably so, Mai’s chapter with us is now done and dusted. Mai has been an integral part of the team for the last 5 years. Many of you would have met her at some point in time, and we’re sure you’d agree that she’s one of the nicest people you could ever meet!

Her contribution has played a significant role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic, keeping everything afloat. We’re so grateful to have someone we can rely on and grow with.

As much as we will miss her, we also believe her next chapter will be better and brighter still, and that she will blossom like she did during her time here.
