This morning our lovely staff had the pleasure of attending LGBTIQA+ diversity and education session which was facilitated by Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ).

These evidence-based sessions are designed to deepen our understanding of key topics like s*x, gender, and s*xual orientation. We also explored the experiences of LGBTIQA+ Australians in fertility and reproductive healthcare.

SHQ’s expert educators Alana and Maddi shared practical advice on how we can create more inclusive spaces — from using respectful language and pronouns to adopting inclusive everyday practices.
This training is part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for everyone we support. 💛

Our new podcast with Fiercely Infertile is now live! 🎙 Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) explained: Risks, Recognition and Treatment Options

Concept Fertility Medical Director Dr. Sebastian Leathersich, recently sat down with Fiercely Infertile host Cassie Silver to discuss everything you need to know about OHSS (which is a condition that can occur during IVF treatment), who may be susceptible, and the treatment options available.

He also shares alternative fertility treatments that are available which can remove the risk of patients having OHSS such as IVM (In Vitro Maturation) in which eggs are matured outside the body in the laboratory. This technique is not widely used in Perth fertility clinics, but it is something that Concept can offer and assists with patients who are susceptible to OHSS.

We know that every patient’s journey is different, and this conversation is all about empowering you with the knowledge to navigate your fertility treatment. 🫶🫶

Today is RUOK Day, and this year's theme is R U Ok? Any day, because life happens every day.

We are there with our patients through the ups and downs and every step in between and understand how important a simple conversation to see how someone is doing can be.

If you feel hesitant to ask a friend, partner, family member or colleague if they are ok, RUOK released a statistic which says that 9 in 10 Australians report feeling grateful, supported and cared for when someone genuinely asks them if they are ok - and that's a good reason to give it a go.

Did you know Concept Fertility offers an interest-free, fee-free payment plan for patients?

We understand that planning for fertility treatment can feel overwhelming financially as well as emotionally. Rather than waiting until you’ve saved the full amount for your treatment, you can begin your journey sooner and make manageable repayments along the way.

Our Accounts team can guide you through eligibility, payment options, and terms & conditions so you know exactly what to expect.

Concept Medical Director Dr Sebastian Leathersich is a Board Member of Menopause Alliance Australia whose mission is to provide evidence-based information and support for perimenopausal and menopausal women in their daily lives and work. But there is also a broader message to be taken from this group – that no female should be unsupported by friends, family or their workplace if they are suffering from any other life-impacting conditions such as PCOS or endometriosis, or if they are struggling with their fertility.

As part of this support, Dr Leathersich regularly hosts MAA webinars and in-house seminars on perimenopause and menopause, fertility, PCOS and endometriosis for a broad range of companies.

MAA founder and CEO Natalie Martin (pictured right) is leading this charge to break the stigma and make sure no woman is left behind.
