There was a morning years ago that changed me.

In my book, Spiritual A.I. – The Authentic Intelligence, I share the story of how awareness was born in the darkest days of my life. Not only was it born there, but it became the lifeline that brought me back — and kept me from death’s door more than once.

That morning, I caught my very first thought before it ran away with me. Normally I would wake up and tumble straight into fear, worry, or heaviness. But that day, I noticed. I paused. I chose differently.

It sounds so simple, yet that single act changed the course of my day. Over time, it changed the course of my life.

That’s what awareness does — it interrupts the spiral. It opens the door to freedom. It reminds you that you are not powerless to your mind, your past, or your circumstances.

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 — 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝
We often talk about healing like it’s a checklist: identify the issue, do the work, move on. But real transformation doesn’t happen in a straight line — it unfolds in layers.
It took me years (and countless failed diets) to realize that what I thought was a weight issue was actually something much deeper. My body had been trying to get my attention, not just to lose weight, but to listen.
As a child, I was naturally slim and carefree. Food wasn’t an emotional thing — it was just food. But somewhere along the way, I started eating more and putting on weight. As a teen and young adult, I struggled constantly. I tried diets, pills, restriction, plans… some would work temporarily, but the weight always came back.
At the time, I thought the issue was willpower. That if I could just try harder, I could win this battle. But no matter how much I fought, I couldn’t sustain the changes.
