Ready to become the yoga teacher you always wished you’d had? Yogahub Perth’s 2026 Teacher Training — led by Sarcha Thurston, one of Perth’s most experienced yoga teachers — is an opportunity to train the way the great teachers were trained: deeply, unhurriedly, and in person. The program is limited in numbers to ensure you receive genuine one-on-one attention, real mentorship, and the time to truly integrate what you’re learning — not just collect a certificate.
Five reasons it beats a short overseas or online training:
1. Time to actually learn. A rushed two-week intensive in Bali can’t give you what a full year of immersive, in-person training does. Yogahub’s program is deliberately “old fashioned” — spread across 12 months so you absorb and embody the material rather than cram it.
2. In studio public teaching. Yes you’ll be teaching classes at Yogahub as part of your training!
3. Genuine mentorship, not a conveyor belt. Group numbers are small, so every trainee is offered personal attention. The relationship doesn’t end at graduation either — there’s a continued mentorship pathway for those who want to keep growing.
4. No passport required, and no life disruption. You train in your own city, in your own community, with the support of your existing life around you — which actually helps you integrate the practice more deeply than an isolated retreat bubble ever could.
5. Recognised credentials this program is registered with Australia’s peak yoga body,

New Course Starting 19th May
(Pictured: yogi Brett Young)
Like If yoga has ever felt like something for other people — the bendy people, the confident people, the people who already own the fancy activewear — this class is for you.
Yoga for Tight Bods is a welcoming space for anyone who feels tight, stiff, awkward, or unsure where they fit.
You don’t need experience, flexibility, or any special level of fitness. You belong here exactly as you are.
We’ll focus on simple, supportive movement to help you feel more comfortable in your body, with plenty of options and no pressure to push beyond what feels right.
This course is taught by Dean Klimczak ..Like many frontline health workers, Deans professional work as a GP saw the care of others, take priority over self-care. Dean found yoga as a part of sliding door moment where he made a personal commitment to a better work/life balance and reclaiming more of himself for his own health and wellbeing.
He began his yoga journey in one of Yogahub’s Beginners Immersion courses. He then began the Ashtanga yoga self-practice method as well as expanding his practice into Yin and Hatha traditions.
In 2024, after making steady progress for a few years, Dean undertook Yogahub’s 300hr YTT program to deepen his personal knowledge and understanding of yoga. With many patients presenting with aches and pains of modern living, Dean was motivated to take up teaching to help people re-introduce healthy movement into their lives.
His steady commitment to yoga has been a genuine success story that anyone can follow.
Dean has a warmth and kindness about him that puts even the most reluctant new yogi at ease. Starting out in his early 50’s he understands the challenges of practising with a stiff body in a room full of bendy people. From his own experience, he knows how recognise where a person is at on their yoga journey and how to help them make progress in a manageable and sustained way.
Dean also loves running, tolerates the gym and adores his dogs Milo and Rebel.

Our 300hr in person training starts in August, is limited to 12 people, and runs for 12 months.

“I am steadfast in my approach to delivering 100% in person, in studio training and mentoring. It really is the GOLD STANDARD and yes, personally it is a huge commitment and great energy investment to hold the group for a whole year. My training is not more expensive than other trainings yet offers so much more. I am honestly amazed that people even consider online training if the alternative is available to them.

Not everyone undertakes a yoga teacher training program with the intention of teaching. While some people know absolutely that’s what they want to do, many are driven to dig below the surface of asana classes and deepen their understanding and experience of the whole system of yoga. I also delight in the fact that many people change their mind along the journey and enjoy the experience so much, they feel a strong imperative to share with others after all.

Yoga as science of living, offers a wonderful system to the individual in navigating, and perhaps even healing one’s life. Every individual that can heal themselves then has something to offer others. Whatever brings you the point of considering teacher training, the more people that practice and teach yoga the better the world will be.”

Our six week Yoga Foundation courses welcomes beginners to yoga or those who are finding their way back to yoga. This holistic form of exercise is for everybody and there are no prerequisites to start. With us by your side, you will discover the incredible physical and psychological benefits of yoga.
Our highly qualified, and compassionate instructors will give you a thorough introduction to yoga that will provide the fundamentals to continue your own yoga journey into any style of yoga you choose. In this introductory beginners course you will be taught the following:

* The foundations of yoga practice such as breathing well and postural alignment.
* A little bit about the history and philosophy of yoga
* Practical techniques to make postures accessible to all body types, and most abilities.
* How regular yoga practice can benefit your physical and psychological health.
Why choose a Beginners Course over a general class?
Especially if you are new to yoga a beginners course has many advantages over simply turning up to an open level class. Each class builds on the skills learnt in the previous class and this means we build the intensity up of the class slowly. So it’s manageable and you can enjoy yourself each class. In a general class there might not be enough opportunity to ask questions. However, because everybody in the course is a beginner, the group dynamic very accepting and comfortable.

I truly love the way that when many Yogahubbers travel they send us a “postcard” to stay in touch. These lovers are a long way from home, but held close in our heart…and there is a lot less mischief on the Mysore room floor.
