I used to think I was just “moody,” “lazy,” or “overreacting.”

Turns out… I just didn’t understand my cycle. 🧡

When you start noticing your patterns, your energy shifts, your emotions, your cravings, everything changes. You stop fighting your body and start supporting it.

Understanding your cycle isn’t dramatic. It’s powerful.

If you’re ready to work with your body instead of against it, start tracking how you feel this month, and explore natural ways to support yourself along the way. 🥰

Save this as your reminder.

Periods don’t care where you are, or what you’re doing. They’re ruthless.

They show up in meetings. On holidays. During deadlines. No warning. No convenience.

And it’s not “just cramps.” It can be inflammation, fatigue, nausea, pain that throws your whole day off.

Yet we’re expected to smile and power through.

But your body isn’t being dramatic. It’s responding to real physiological changes.

You deserve support that works with your cycle, not against it.

We asked real women one question 👀💭

“What actually helped you feel more in control of your cycle?”

Because feeling in control isn’t about being perfect, it’s about understanding your body, supporting it properly, and not just pushing through the pain.

Swipe to find out what they have said. 🧡

The Big Sister Series: Part 2 💗
What’s part of the process… and what’s your body asking you to notice?

So many of us were told to just push through our periods.
But learning what’s expected and what deserves attention can change everything.

Irregular cycles, mild cramps, bloating, mood shifts and tiredness can be part of your body finding its rhythm.

But periods shouldn’t derail your life.
Pain that stops you showing up, bleeding that feels overwhelming, or symptoms that interrupt school, work or plans?
That’s your body asking for support.

Listening doesn’t mean something’s wrong.
It means you’re taking yourself seriously.

From one sister to another, you’re not alone 🧡

"Shhh… don’t say that.”
We’ve all heard it.
For generations, periods were treated as embarrassing, improper, or something to keep quiet about.
Not because they were shameful, but because women’s bodies made people uncomfortable.
And silence?
Silence kept people struggling.
🩸 Period pain wasn’t taken seriously.
🩸 Hormonal health wasn’t prioritised.
🩸 Girls were taught to “just manage quietly”.

So many of us grew up believing painful periods were normal, that bloating, cramps, mood swings and exhaustion were just something to push through.
They’re not.
If you were ever told to stay quiet about your pain, if you’ve ever felt dismissed,
or if this hit a little too close to home.
🧡 heart this post so we know we’re not alone.

💬 Have you ever felt dismissed or unheard about your period?

For so long, we were taught to stay quiet about our periods, our pain, and our bodies.

Real stories matter because they help us realise we’re not weak, not dramatic, and not alone.

When women share what their cycles actually feel like, the confusion, the pain, the breakthroughs, it gives others permission to listen to their own bodies too.

Your experience could be the moment someone finally says:
👉 “I thought it was just me.”

And that’s powerful.

We weren’t taught to talk about our periods 🩸
We were taught to stay quiet.
To normalise pain.
To believe discomfort was just “part of being a woman”.
And when something didn’t feel right?
We were often brushed off, dismissed, or told it was all in our head.
That’s the problem we’re changing. 💥
And pain might be common… but it should never be ignored.
This is bigger than relief.
This is about access, education, and believing women when they say something feels off.
If this post made you feel seen, save it.
If it reminded you of someone, share it.
That’s how the conversation changes. 🧡
