Periods are pushing girls out of sport… and we’re not talking about it enough.

Because it’s not just “a bad day” or “a bit of cramping.” For many girls, it’s pain, heavy bleeding, fatigue, mood changes, and trying to push through training and games with no real support or conversation around it.

When we stay silent, girls are left to figure it out alone. And too often, that means stepping back from the sport they love.

This isn’t about periods being the problem, it’s about the lack of understanding, support, and normalisation around them in sport.

We need to change that.
