🌿🐴 Professional Development with a Twist! 🐶☀️

Our team stepped out of the clinic and into a beautiful outdoor space for a hands-on professional development day. We explored new approaches, shared knowledge, and reflected on our practice—all while enjoying a change of pace in a calming rural setting.

Grateful for time to grow together as a team!

- Meet Our Team -

Hi I’m Tim! I’m an occupational therapist that loves working alongside kids and teenagers to help them co-regulate and engage in the activities that are important to them

My favourite animal has to be the Tiger! I was definitely obsessed with big cats as kid. I now have two (not-so-big) cats at home, but I still love dogs as well! 🐅

As for therapy games, Monopoly Deal has to be my go to game.🧐🎩 A shorter and different take on the classic game that I still manage to lose more often than not!

I like to use music to help me regulate. Sometimes for me that’s blasting music in my car or using headphones to block out other noises around me 🎧🎸🥁

Happy Monday!

- Meet Our Team -

Hi, I’m Kat! I’m an occupational therapist who loves working with kids - every day is a fun, unpredictable adventure that lets me embrace my inner child.

My favourite animal? Well… it might also be the giraffe (I promise I didn’t copy Emma, just a coincidence !). But in my everyday life, horses and dogs definitely steal the show (lucky I work at Cornwall House OT 🐶🐴).

When it comes to therapy games, I’m a big fan of Penguin Icebreaker - nothing beats the suspense and excitement!

To help myself regulate, I love listening to music and squeezing something in my hand like playdough or putty - simple but so grounding!

- Get to know our team -

Hi, I’m Emma! I’m an occupational therapist who’s passionate about helping kids thrive in their everyday occupations—like play, learning, and self-care.

My favourite animal is definitely the giraffe… though I might be a little jealous of their height (being on the shorter side myself!).

When it comes to therapy games, I’m all about the classic Snap - you’ll need quick hands to beat me!

To help regulate, I love using swings or squeezing a squishy Needoh ball - they’re the best!

Equine-assisted OT is available as part of our therapy offerings—reach out to learn more or to see if it’s a good fit for your child or loved one!

Ending the week on a positive! Over the last few months it has been so rewarding to see a number of Assistance Animal Applications approved by the NDIS.

These animals change the lives of their handlers, and it was great to receive photos of the dog who was placed as a result of the successful application to the NDIS. It was a 2 year process, and it takes a whole team but the happy faces of dog and handler makes it all worth it.
