RU OK? As mental health issues increase and as people continue to try to look like they "have it all together"... Remember on this day and every day of the year to check in on your loved ones regularly to ask if they're ok. Also, check in with yourself. Ask yourself if you're ok. Sometimes we get so lost and distracted with the consumption of substances, screens or materials that we are not in tune with ourselves. Take a break, have a warm bath or a walk in nature .. some "me time" every now and again.

100% ... 1 year out as a pharmacist I witnessed an elderly person end up in hospital from paracetamol interacting with their medication. This inspite of me speaking with their prescribing doctor about the potential for said interaction at least 3 times. Said doctor said they would keep an eye on it. This elderky person was in hospital for weeks and almost did not make it out. If this was some natural herb it would have been all over the news... We don't even have to postulate. We have just seen this in the write up on ba ku teh recently.

Definitely something to look out for and consider if you are a parent. Chemicals in our food, beauty products and even our homes can all affect our hormones, especially female hormones. The thing is, with this issue, as a parent, you'd need to be proactive and address any potential exposures before the issue (early puberty) starts. Reach out to a knowledgeable and trusted health professional if you'd like to know more.

Some girls are starting to develop breasts as early as age 6 or 7. Researchers are studying the role of obesity, chemicals and stress.

Good questions.

48% of West Aussies in hospital with covid have not had their shots.

About 90% of deaths in the UK are in the vaccinated!

Why is there such a stark difference in data from "Perth now"compared to the "UK covid 19 vaccine surveillance reports"?

I believe the vaccines seen to work for a couple of months ...and in the UK they're clearly a few months further along than us.
Their data clearly shows 89% of deaths are occurring in vaccinated ppl with 4 out of 5 of those deaths in the triple jabbed. That was for week 4 to week 7 of 2022 (deaths within 28 days of diagnosis)

Now for week 6 to 9 it's looking like it's closer to 90% of deaths are in the vaccinated. This doesn't mean that the vaccinated are MORE likely to die form covid ... As some fear mongers might have you believe. The elderly are more likely to have gotten their shots and gotten their boosters as well. I believe the background vaccination rate in the UK is around the 73% mark ish.... But if the elderly are more likely to have been jabbed and we know the elderly are more likely to die from this then they are over represented in the "jabbed".
It just means that after a while, it seems the vaccine doesn't make a difference. Which is probably why they're scrapping the mandates there.

What does that mean for us here in WA? Unless we time our boosters juuusssst right OR we roll out some early treatments as done in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India Japan, mexico and other countries around the world... We are going to be in for a tough winter at the hospital's as the next variant comes along.
Above my two cents... I know it's not all sunshine and fairies and good news but it is what it is unfortunately and we need to be prepared for this. There are things you can do to mitigate your risk factors for covid and to help your body cope the best it can. Speak to your trusted health professional to discuss further.

The leading cause of childhood blindness in low income countries is "measles blindness". As the name suggests, it is a complication from measles that results in blindness in children.
We have shared previously a rare case of progressing blindness in Australia of a teenager which was due to VITAMIN A Deficiency: https://www.smh.com.au/healthcare/eyesight-experts-issue-warning-on-diet-which-can-lead-to-blindness-20161012-gs0twl.html
According to "Physicians for informed Consent" there are THREE treatments for measles that can be used to avoid rare severe complications including blindness?
1.) Vitamin A
2.) Immune Globulin
3.) Antiviral (Ribavarin)

IF you were not aware of the above, chances are your friends are not either. Please share this to enlighten them.
One would also logically reason that the rate of complications from measles (and other viruses) is strongly related to our bodies current nutritional (vitamins and minerals) state. Please speak to us or your trusted health professional to get these checked so that your body is in tip top fighting shape to face viruses and bugs that might come your way.

With Covid-19 depending on where you are in the world you may be required to wear a mask. Be aware that not all masks are equal. Choose your masks carefully. If possible try to go with natural fabrics and ideally reusable for your health and the health of our planet.

Hello everyone, It has been a while since this page has been updated! Thank you all for being patient.

2020 was definitely a year to remember, from the beautiful gift of our gorgeous baby boy at the start of the year... followed by everything else. I took some time to just be present with my son in and amidst the psychological and emotional chaos surrounding the globe. I don't know how all of you lovely momma's who have multiple babies & children do it, and seemingly do it SO well! You are all stunningly beautiful, strong and fierce mommas!

The next chapter begins in the coming month as I start stepping back in to the amazing pharmacies I have had the good fortune and pleasure of working at. Please get in touch via email or come in to the pharmacies to have a chat if you need to in April onwards. In the mean time, will do my best to put up some content on here as and when I see anything interesting.

Take care and look after yourselves and each other!
