The Importance of Inner Work in Growing Your Business or career:
In the world of coaching and healing, success isn’t just about strategy or tactics. The inner work matters.
Just as coaches and healers help their own clients with inner work, many coaches and healers experience BIG shifts in their business or in their workplace when they prioritize their own inner work.
But what exactly does inner work mean and how can it impact your business or career growth? Let’s explore……
At its core, inner work means the work you do internally – with your own thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and values – that impact your outer world.
Doing the inner work means examining and becoming aware of the layers of societal conditioning, past experiences, trauma, fear, and/or self-doubt to uncover who you truly are — and what it means to show up as your most authentic self in your business.
This process of becoming aware of and addressing your inner experiences can profoundly affect the outer actions you’re taking in your business.
For many, inner work includes activities like journaling, meditating, and/or working with a coach, healer, or therapist to better understand their limiting beliefs or hidden fears.
When you’re willing to do this work you’re able to make business decisions that feel more authentic, trust yourself more fully, and show up in your business with greater confidence and clarity.
While outer work refers to the external actions you take in your business—things like - marketing strategies, sales techniques, and content creation— the inner is all about the internal shifts that support those actions.
Both are crucial, but inner work sets the foundation for the effectiveness of your outer work. When your inner work is in place, your outer work becomes more effective because it’s driven by confidence, purpose, and authenticity.
