Fantastic News!

South Australia has become the third state to criminalise coercive control as a form of domestic violence.

The new laws, which aim to address controlling behaviour within intimate relationships, were welcomed by advocates but will not come into effect for two years to allow for proper implementation.

Safety concerns, financial barriers, fear of judgement or not being believed, and lack of support are just some of the reasons survivors may not feel safe or ready to share their experiences.
