Wondering what a kinesiology session feels like afterwards?

Everyone responds differently. Many people notice feeling lighter, calmer, and a greater sense of clarity. It’s common to experience reduced tension, eased physical discomfort, and a calmer mind. Kinesiology works by gently supporting your body and nervous system to realign, helping you release what no longer serves you—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Sometimes you may feel a little tired or notice temporary flare-ups in symptoms as your body adjusts. This is completely normal. The shifts from a session often continue for a few days afterward, so giving yourself rest, drinking plenty of water, and allowing time for integration can enhance the benefits.

Kinesiology is a gentle process that helps you reconnect with your body, uncover blocks, and find balance. Each session can leave you feeling more in tune with yourself, with a lighter mind, a calmer body, and a clearer perspective on what you need to move forward.

Your nervous system is like the control center of your body — when it’s out of balance, it doesn’t always look the same for everyone.

Some people might feel constantly anxious, on edge, or restless.
Others might experience fatigue, brain fog, or a sense of disconnection.
Some notice chronic body pain, tension, or flare-ups of long-standing health issues.
Some might feel irritable or have unpredictable emotional swings.
Some might even feel nothing at all — numb, shut down, or “stuck.”

The key? There’s no one-size-fits-all response. Your body is speaking its own language, and learning to tune in is the first step toward calm, clarity, and balance.

💡 Tip: Notice your patterns, respect your limits, and consider gentle tools like breathwork, movement, somatic work or kinesiology to help your nervous system find ease.

✨ Kinesiology can support your nervous system by identifying where it’s stuck and guiding your body back toward balance, helping both physical discomfort and emotional overwhelm ease over time.

I read this foreword by David Kasneci (Project 3 6 9 Evolved Consciousness) today and I thought it was so beautifully written that I had to share it.

A gentle reminder too:
✨ Remember who you truly are.
✨ Ignite your power to manifest.
✨ Feel peace, freedom & abundance.
✨ Live the life your soul dreams of.

One of the things I love most about this work is knowing I’m here to facilitate healing — not direct it — and that the journey is explored together, client and practitioner.

Every client walks in with their own lived experience, insights, and discoveries. Many are researching, experimenting, tuning into their bodies, and learning what supports their wellbeing. When they share those experiences, it creates a space for collective growth — expanding awareness, deepening understanding, and sometimes opening new pathways to support others facing similar challenges.

I’m constantly grateful for the trust, openness, and wisdom clients bring into the room. It’s a privilege to witness their journeys — and to keep learning alongside them.

Healing is collaborative.
It’s evolving.
And it’s never one-size-fits-all 🤍

Gratitude is about retraining a brain that’s wired to scan for problems.

From a neuroscience perspective, where attention goes, neural reinforcement follows. Repeatedly noticing what’s supportive, safe, or meaningful helps shift emotional regulation, stress perception, and overall resilience.

Try this daily:
1️⃣ Name 3 things that went right
2️⃣ Feel them (don’t just list them)
3️⃣ Sit with it for 20 seconds

That pause helps encode the neural pathway.

If your brain has been stuck in “what’s wrong”, start small: notice one thing that went right today.

That’s where rewiring begins ever so subtly🤍

Muscle testing is a gentle, non-invasive technique used in kinesiology to gather information from the body. It involves applying light pressure to a muscle (usually the arm) while observing how it responds.

This approach is inspired by principles from International College of Applied Kinesiology–based methodologies, where forms of applied kinesiology are also used by some chiropractors and other practitioners to help identify areas of stress or imbalance in the body.

The idea behind muscle testing is that muscles are connected to the central nervous system, so changes in muscle response can reflect how the body is processing physical, emotional, or environmental stressors at that moment. As a kinesiologist, it helps uncover the contributors to any given issue.

Sometimes the most powerful reset is something incredibly simple — your breath 🤍

Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
Exhale slowly for 6–8 seconds

When we lengthen the exhale, we send a signal of safety to the nervous system. This can help shift the body out of stress activation and into a calmer, more regulated state.

It’s gentle, accessible, and can be done anywhere — supporting calmer thoughts, steadier emotions, and deeper rest over time.

Save this to come back to when you need a moment to reset

For all the new people on my page, hello! 👋

I thought I’d take a moment to reintroduce myself.

My name is Mary, and I’m the proud owner of Evolved Mind Body, where I provide kinesiology, somatic work, and nervous system regulation sessions.

I’m passionate about supporting adults, teens, and kids — with a special focus on women navigating chronic stress or illness, hormonal shifts, fatigue, burnout, and the everyday juggle of life.

What brought me to kinesiology was my own journey with chronic stress and pain, fatigue and hormonal challenges. I tried so many approaches to “manage” the symptoms, but nothing addressed the root cause. It wasn’t until I found how the nervous system holds stress and affects the whole body that I experienced real change. I realised that helping people gently identify and release these underlying patterns could create profound shifts in energy, emotional and physical wellbeing, and overall resilience. That’s what inspired me to become a kinesiologist — to support others toward the same sense of balance, ease, and capacity that I found for myself.

And while this might sound a bit like a sales pitch — I genuinely love what I do. Supporting my clients, watching them shift over time, and seeing them tackle the challenges they came in for gives me so much joy to see.

Your nervous system has a limit — and it’s not a personal failing when you reach it.

Modern neuroscience and stress research show that the body has a finite capacity to adapt to ongoing physical, emotional, and mental stress. This is often referred to as allostatic load — the cumulative effect of life’s demands on the nervous system.

When stress is short-term, the body recovers.
When stress is repeated or prolonged, the system stays on high alert, and capacity gradually reduces.

This is when symptoms can appear:
persistent pain, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, emotional reactivity or a sense of overwhelm — often without a single clear cause.

Research in psychophysiology and trauma-informed care shows that nervous system regulation increases resilience and capacity, helping the body move out of threat and back into balance. Body-based approaches, breath awareness, rest, and somatic practices all support this process by signalling safety to the nervous system.

Kinesiology sits within this mind–body framework, offering a gentle, complementary way to support nervous system regulation and help the body release accumulated stress patterns.

✨ If this resonates, kinesiology can be a supportive way to help your system reset and rebuild capacity.

A kinesiologist works with the body, mind, and energy systems to explore areas of imbalance, with a particular focus on the nervous system, which plays a central role in overall wellbeing. By using gentle testing and holistic techniques, we aim to support the body’s natural processes, helping it function more efficiently and encouraging a sense of balance and calm.

Kinesiology doesn’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, but it can help you identify stressors or blockages that may affect your energy, mood, and daily functioning. Many people find that regular sessions support improved relaxation, emotional clarity, and a greater sense of alignment in their body and mind.

Importantly, kinesiology is a safe, non-invasive modality that can be used alongside other treatments or therapies. It complements conventional and alternative approaches, allowing you to explore ways to support your wellbeing in a holistic, balanced way.
