Mind and plate balanced?

Genetic vulnerabilities to anxiety, obsessive behaviour and perfectionist traits can predispose one to develop eating disorders. However, with professional guidance these traits can be modified and become an asset.

As parents you can be mindful and display a healthy relationship with food. Children mimic their parents words and actions subconsciously and look up to them for guidance. Eat healthy, balanced meals around your children and educate them about nourishment from different food groups. Arm your children with knowledge and understanding of the relationship between food and the body.

If you are struggling with having a positive mind set about food or are struggling with your eating habits then make an appointment with us at The Lilac Clinic.
