I just saw a very silly onion chopping ‘hack’ and I felt compelled to share this again.

A sheet of wet paper towel in the corner of your cutting board will attract the onion ‘stingers’ there and away from your eyes.

It really works!

Preparing dinner so I just wanted to share an amazing tip I’ve picked up.

Little square of wet paper towel on your chopping boards saves your eyes when chopping onions!

Back in the day, my bestie and I would always put our hands up at school to do the onion chopping for our schools open to public restaurant…then we’d get to spend a good half hour sitting outside the kitchen chatting while we recovered from onion eyes.

I don’t have time for that these days & this little tip saves me everytime!

It has been far too long between gnocchi dinners.
Miss 9 jumped in the kitchen with me today to whip up some fresh ricotta gnocchi.

It’s a good recipe to make with the kids. Easy steps and rolling the individual pieces leads to a lot of laughs and giggles.

I was feeling very motivated while this was bubbling away in the oven, so I whipped up a quick cheesy garlic butter for some rolls we needed to use up.

Perfect wintery dinner.

How can you guarantee the bowl's safe return?

When washing the bowl, always position the TM6/TM5/TM31 base upside down in its cradle.

For the TM7, invert the insulated cover on the base after removing the bowl.

A consistent routine signals to others in the kitchen that the Thermomix requires reassembly.

oh I do!

I don’t have photos of our actual dinner (thanks to miss6 high jacking my phone), but I can assure you it was absolutely delicious- miss 9 asked if we can have it tomorrow night too.

The perfect weekday dinner and it’s definitely a belly warmer.

Miss 9 put our TM7 through its paces this morning, while I was in bed, to set up breakfast outside. She included hot tea and oodies for comfort (because it is freezing out there! 🥶)

I would just like to point out that she had not been shown how to use the 7 (because I’m not ready to share my new toy yet!)

Thankful for little miss 9 & that there are no nooks and crannies to clean up. A simple wipe over will have it sparkling like new again.
