Rachel is a Registered Paramedic with broad experience across metropolitan, rural, and remote pre-hospital care. As Head of Aeromedical Services, she is responsible for managing and coordinating all aeromedical operations, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety during air transport. Rachel’s role includes strategic planning, regulatory compliance, staff training, and maintaining effective communication between air medical teams, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
Rachel has previously worked as the Senior Paramedic in the Event Medicine division at MCG, overseeing pre-hospital responses at high-risk events. Additionally, Rachel served as Clinical Lead for the Critical Care Transport Team, and worked within the Kimberley Ambulance Service - WA Country Health Service.
She is committed to education and professional development, having served as Lead Trainer at the Australian Paramedical College in Western Australia, co facilitator for Advanced Life Support 2, and pre-hospital simulation coordinator at MCG. Her qualifications include Specialty Board Certified (ISBC) Critical Care Flight Paramedic , Advanced Life Support Level 2, Emergency Obstetric Training (PROMPT – King Edward Memorial Hospital), Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), and aeromedical training in the United States.
