Did you know respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection isn’t just a childhood illness? It can be dangerous for older people too.
While RSV infection often starts like a common cold, in older adults it can quickly become much more severe.
Keep an eye out for these warning signs:
🔹 high fever
🔹 persistent or worsening cough
🔹 wheezing that doesn’t go away
🔹 shortness of breath or laboured breathing
🔹 a blue tint to the skin — especially on the lips, fingers, or toes.
Seek medical attention if these symptoms occur.
