So great to hear stories from people that are getting value from the HeadCheck app and our study! Kerrie told us: “It’s reassuring to have the app on my phone. I know there is follow up. Also, if I want to, I can be part of ongoing research to develop better understanding of concussion and recovery, and why some concussions last months. It’s a really hand app to have and very worthwhile to have"

A new concussion clinic in Bendigo, Victoria is booked out as patients travel up to 200km for treatment. The surge in demand highlights growing awareness of concussion impacts—well beyond elite sport. One young footballer shared how repeated head knocks left him with memory loss, migraines and anxiety about his future. His story reflects a broader need for better access to care and education across Australia. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07-22/bendigo-concussion-clinic-high-demand-for-treatment/105371748

That’s why studies like AUS-mTBI matter. We're investigating the long-term effects of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and how to improve recovery outcomes.

Jeremy Rodi would forget how he spent the day before seeking treatment for concussion. Now a treatment clinic has opened in his home town of Bendigo in regional Victoria.
