Interested in injectables?

As we get older, collagen and elastin fibres start to break down in our skin, and eventually permanent lines become etched on our face by continually contracting our facial muscles. Simultaneously, the production and quality of our body’s skin gel and fibers – which hold water and give hydration and youthful volume to our skin – diminishes, which can lead to wrinkles, deep lines, sagging skin and loss of volume in lips and cheeks.

Here at WASVC we understand the complexity and unique needs of each individual client. We will work with you to create a custom treatment plan to help you look and feel youthful and rejuvenated.

Call WASVC on (08) 9203 6111 to book your injectables consultation today.

Summer is here and it’s time to be proactive about keeping your skin healthy 🧴
Sun protection should be a priority on these sunny days, even when indoors. Sunscreen, hats, sleeves and polarised sunglasses are a must! 😎
It is important that you also take the time to have a full skin check, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors! 🏝️

Laser Tattoo Removal ⚡️

At WASVC, we understand that tattoos are an important part of our lives, and we also understand the need to remove them when the time comes. Our laser tattoo removal technique involves targeting the ink deposits in the dermis of the skin using a specialised laser. This shatters the ink so the body can dispose of the particles through the lymphatic system. The amount of treatments depends on a number of factors which your provider will discuss with you following a consultation.

Once your suitability for tattoo removal has been established, before beginning your treatment your provider will apply a topical anaesthetic to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. Your tattoo will be treated at a frequeny suitable to the level of ink and the colour, as well as your skin tone. Subsequent treatments will involve the same steps, however treatment intensity will increase as we try to break down remaining ink. To allow for adequate healing treatments are normally spaced by 6-8 weeks.

Outcomes of tattoo removal are highly variable and are dependent upon the type and amount of ink, the age of the tattoo, the area of the tattoo, and the healing process of the individual. With tattoo removal it is important to understand that there are risks of scarring, pigmentation changes, and a possiblilty that some of the ink may never go away completely. It is important to decide whether you would be happy with the potential outcomes of tattoo removal, as opposed to leaving the tattoo untreated.

So if you’re looking to get rid of a tattoo once and for all, come to WASVC for you consultation. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Spider Veins 🪢

Spider veins are also known as surface veins. Although not usually as painful and uncomfortable as varicose veins, they can be just as unattractive in appearance. Made up of clusters of tiny blood vessels, they are red, purple or blue in appearance and are most commonly found on the face and legs. They look like a spider web, hence the name.

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a special chemical into the spider or varicose vein, which inflames the lining of the vein and causes it to close up. The procedure is a less invasive option compared to surgery, and although it does need to be done under local anaesthetic, there is no need for hospitalisation. It’s likely that two or three sessions will be required to treat your veins successfully.
Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy
This type of treatment is safe and effective. There is no surgical scarring and again, no need for hospitalisation. We use an ultrasound to locate any abnormal veins, then safely inject a sclerosant foam directly into the veins. This type of technique works best when treating spider veins and small varicose veins.

Varicose Veins 🪢

Often a side effect of getting older, varicose veins are swollen veins that usually appear purple or dark blue in appearance. They most commonly affect the legs and can be unsightly to look at and deeply uncomfortable to live with. Although a common condition, if you suffer with varicose veins they will only improve with treatment. The older you get, the more prevalent they become.
Varicose veins develop because blood isn’t flowing properly through the veins in the legs. Symptoms can include changes in skin colour, restless legs, night time leg cramps, an aching or heaviness in the legs or swollen ankles and feet. Women are more prone to suffering with varicose veins than men. The good news is, treatment is available!
