It’s with great sadness that we announce that Endurance Movement will unfortunately close later this month (last day will be Tuesday 21st May)

Over the last 6 years we have loved working with the endurance community in WA and abroad. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has come to EM over the years and supported us. Thank you for trusting us with your strength training and physiotherapy! What a fantastic journey it’s been and we’re so grateful to have had the chance to have met and worked with so many wonderful people.

Runners, triathletes and swimmers, make 2024 your fastest yet! 🏃‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️

Join Dr Kate Baldwin (PhD) and Nick Baldwin at Endurance Movement for this workshop on strength training for endurance athletes. As a researcher in the field and working with endurance athletes, Kate brings a wealth of experience to this essential, yet often misunderstood element of training. During this workshop you will learn how strength training can contribute to your best race day performance and reduce your injury risk, as well as understand how to implement the correct type of strength training for your sport. This will give you some of the tools needed to know how to implement strength training to maximise your performance.

Huge congrats to everyone who raced IMWA and IMWA 70.3 on the weekend. The atmosphere was amazing and we absolutely loved supporting.

A big shout out to all EM athletes. It was so special to watch all of your hard work unfold on race day, we are so proud of you all 🙌 The EM community truly is an amazing one and it’s our athletes who make it a family 🩵💜

We hope you all enjoy some down time and the silly season…and then bring on 2024 🙌

📢EM is coming to Busselton!

🙌 We’re excited to announce that EM will soon be up and running in one of our favourite parts of WA, with Kate and Nick relocating to Busselton! Our individual strength & conditioning, bike fit and physiotherapy services will soon be available to all those in the South West, without the long drive up to Perth.

🍷The region holds a special place for Kate and Nick and they’re looking forward to relocating with their young family and immersing themselves in life down South!

🏋️‍♀️ Everything at EM in Perth will continue as normal with the brilliant Megan looking after our Myaree HQ! Both Kate and Nick will be back in Perth regularly with limited availability in Myaree.

📅 South West availability is available from 16th October, with online bookings now live through our website! We can't wait!

Running is one of the hardest exercises the body can endure, having to absorb up to three times your body weight on each leg with every stride you take. It’s no surprise that so many runners deal with injuries. Running injuries are multi-facetted, most commonly being a combination of training load errors, strength deficits and running mechanics.

🦵Achilles Tendinopathy is a common injury seen in runners and triathletes. We've put together some helpful tips on how to manage Achilles Tendinopathy to help you get back to run training asap!

🏃‍♂️ Keep in mind this does not replace medical advice and always seek medical attention as required.

🏃‍♀️Training load management may involve temporarily decreasing running loads to keep Achilles related symptoms to a 3-5/10 or less during and after run training. It is also important not to reduce load too much where the risk of deconditioning and possibly an increase in pain may occur.

🏋‍♀️ The completion of strength training, including exercises with a heavy, slow focus and plyometrics can help the body tolerate running related loads. It is important to monitor your pain and make sure these do not exacerbate symptoms in the 24 hrs after completion.

Keep in mind management varies depending on where your Tendinopathy is located. Achilles issues can also take time to fully recover, so be patient 🙏
