Your shadow holds the parts of you that have been neglected - the parts told they’re unworthy, unsightly, unaccceptable. Can you meet those parts and claim them? Bring them into the light with curiosity, understanding, and love. The anxious one, the controlling one, the jealous one, the self sabotaging one, the doubting one. They’re just parts of you, hiding and cold, waiting for your big and comforting hug. When you can see all of yourself, that’s when true “self-love” begins 🤍

There are so many ways to access these parts. I’ve worked with therapists, read many books, and met my shadow in meditation, breathwork, yoga, sister circles, retreats, somatic practices - and lately, even while doing something as simple as washing the dishes.

Always choose the modalities that feel safest and most supportive for you. Shadow work can be confronting, especially at the beginning. But I believe in you - and the relief, understanding, and love on the other side is worth it ###

Tonight, I'm celebrating my birthday with my beautiful friends. It got me thinking about my Sankalpa (or intention) for the next year... to put it briefly, I intend to let life sweep me off my damn feet ❤️‍🔥

I want to feel it all. Poetry, presence, pleasure... The hard times and the good. I want to laugh so hard that my cheeks hurt. I want to keep pouring love and devotion and authenticity into my business - even when it feels uncomfortable, confronting or boring. I want to dance with my friends and continue to notice wonderful synchronicities and glimmers of magic that this life gifts us. I want late night with loved ones discussing philosophy, dreams and plans. I want to keep showing up for myself with love and grace, stripping away everything that isn't for me. I want to teach yoga with all my heart, to share philosophy and beautiful poetry, and to encourage people to really notice, feel, and embrace the small moments.

I want life to take me and show me how good it can get... and I am ready 🐅✨️🔥

Movement is a constant rhythm of expansion and contraction.

The inward pull creates the energy to rise. The crest only exists because of the trough...

Remember: It's okay if you're feeling inertia. Boredom. Lonliness. Frustration.

If you don't feel like doing something. You're tired, sick or low on energy.

Can you surrender into the trough? Be with these feelings and TRUST that the waves crest will propel you forward when the time is right 💖💖
