🌸World Menopause Day 2025 🌸
Lifestyle & the Six Pillars of Health

At The Claremont Clinic, we believe menopause is the perfect opportunity to transition to a new phase of strength, balance and health.

This year’s theme from the International Menopause Society focuses on Lifestyle Medicine — simple, evidence-based choices that have a profound impact on how women feel through midlife and beyond.

The six pillars of health highlighted in the 2025 IMS White Paper are:

💪 Physical Activity – Move daily and maintain strength.
🥗 Healthy Eating – Focus on whole, nourishing foods.
😴 Restorative Sleep – Prioritise rest and recovery.
🧘‍♀️ Mental Wellbeing – Manage stress, nurture calm, seek joy.
🚭 Avoidance of Risky Substances – Limit alcohol, avoid smoking.
🤝 Healthy Relationships – Connection and community support overall wellbeing.

✨ Small, sustainable lifestyle shifts can ease symptoms, improve energy, enhance mood and protect long-term health.

We might not always get 8 hours of sleep or make it to the gym to lift weights as much as we’d like to, but every little bit counts!

Happy World Menopause Day!

💗 Let’s talk breast health
The latest RACGP advice says up to 1 in 4 breast cancers can be prevented with a few everyday choices.

✨ Keep your weight steady, especially after menopause
✨ Enjoy alcohol only occasionally
✨ Move your body—every bit counts
✨ Breastfeed if it’s an option for you
✨ Chat with your GP about hormone therapy or contraception

Knowing your own risk and keeping up with screening makes a real difference. If you’re concerned about your individual risk, including your family history of cancer or your lifestyle concerns, we would love to help you navigate the information and discuss what proactive measures can be taken.
Small steps, big protection. 💪💖

📅 Book your Breast Screen appointment or medical check-in today—because early detection and prevention go hand in hand.

👩🏻‍⚕️👩‍⚕️👩🏻‍⚕️Dr Lucy, Dr Chiara & Dr Susie had the pleasure of attending a fantastic talk at the University of Western Australia tonight, focusing on weight management and the medical complications of obesity.

🧠 The session was led by respected Perth endocrinologist Dr Joey Kaye, and we came away with a deeper understanding of the complex factors involved in managing weight, and how this impacts long-term health.

We’re excited to bring these insights back to the clinic to help guide and support our patients with compassionate, evidence-based care.

💙 Always learning. Because metabolic health matters, especially at mid-life.

📣 New Service for Regional WA Patients 🌾💻

We know how hard it can be to access the care you need when living in the country — especially for women’s health and menopause support. Distances in WA are vast, and it’s not always easy (or quick) to get to Perth or even your nearest town. On top of that, appointments can be hard to come by.

That’s why we’re now offering video consultations for our regional and remote patients. Whether you’re seeking menopause advice, hormone therapy guidance, or general women’s health care, you can now connect with our experienced team from the comfort of your own home.

🩺 Consults are bookable online via the link in bio or through our website.

We work in partnership with your regular GP, ensuring continuity of care and support that’s tailored to your needs — no matter where you live.

We’re here to make expert women’s health care more accessible for all women across WA. 💙
