The weather in Perth is really beautiful this week and is lighting up my soul! If you’re staying in Perth this long weekend why not head on up to the Perth Hills- the wild flowers are out and are absolutely sensational- and if you’re in the Kalamunda region book on in to Yoga Maya for a sensational evening of Kirtan on Sunday starting at 5.30pm with myself and Pirate on didge and Djembe.. it will surely get the soul lit and ready for the warm weather and season ahead💛

Oh how I love this beautiful tanpura, a divine gift which I am eternally grateful to hold🩵It is simply the most magical instrument I have ever played and takes me deeply into meditation. Although it may appear simple- it only has four strings to pluck- it can be incredibly difficult to not get lost in, as the player often finds themselves drifting effortlessly into Samadhi with the heavenly sound and vibration. Hazrat Inayat Khan said no one is immune to its effect, and I feel that deeply – the moment its strings are touched, the mind softens, the heart opens, and bliss quietly arrives. ‘There is nothing in this world that can help one spiritually more than music’ 🎶 🧘‍♀️✨💛

✨Coffee first…then we can yoga!

I once told my yoga teacher I was trying to give up coffee- I didn’t drink alcohol, vegetarian- I was dedicated to YOGA! But I was struggling with coffee…
He looked at me very seriously… ‘Lucy you know what the The Buddha says about that don’t you? …Life is suffering enough… why would you give up coffee too!’
I hold my coffee every morning with such love and gratitude for his teachings 💛🙏🪷🧘‍♀️
