“Healing is not always instant — and that’s a gift”

Recently, I had a powerful healing session on myself
It was deep
Shamanic NLP work
Clearing old ancestral residue and past life imprints
Shifting stuck patterns across timelines

Spiritually, I felt the release straight away
I could feel something lift
Like space had opened inside me

But the next day, my body spoke too

A swollen lymph node
Tiredness
A heaviness that felt like the physical echo of what had moved

I didn’t panic
I listened

Because I’ve learned this:

When your logic overrides your intuition

Have you ever felt that deep knowing
That something is off
But talked yourself out of it with logic

That was me
Over and over again

I would feel something in my heart
A subtle nudge
A quiet whisper

But then my mind would jump in
Telling me to be rational
To think it through
To not overreact

I thought I was being smart
But really
I was overriding my own truth

This is something I now recognise as a form of defensiveness
A way I tried to protect myself from being wrong
Or judged
Or hurt

But it only disconnected me more

The body always knows
And healing has meant coming back to that inner knowing
Trusting the quiet voice
Letting my intuition lead again

You are allowed to listen to your heart
You are allowed to trust what you feel

I used to replay conversations in my head for hours
Did I say too much?
Did I say it the wrong way?
Should I explain myself again?

This wasn’t about logic — it was my body trying to feel safe
Overexplaining was how I tried to avoid rejection
It was how I defended myself… quietly

But underneath that pattern was a nervous system stuck in protection
Always ready to justify
Always trying to stay one step ahead of disappointment

I now know this pattern isn’t weakness
It’s wisdom from a younger version of me that learned how to survive

But survival isn’t the same as thriving
And there’s another way
