Songs help them remember new words, phrases and patterns - especially when thereโ€™s a catchy chorus. How to start:

Make it fun:

โœจ Use big expressions and energy

Dental care starts with the very first tooth! ๐Ÿฆท As soon as you spot your babyโ€™s first little tooth, itโ€™s time to start gentle brushing.

Use a soft infant toothbrush designed for children under 2. If your newborn isnโ€™t a fan of the toothbrush, try a clean, damp face washer or gauze instead.

โœ”๏ธ Brush with water only
โœ”๏ธ Twice a day - especially after the first and last feeds
โŒ No toothpaste yet (unless your dentist recommends it)

It is ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ž that babies move less or slow down towards the end of your pregnancy. Always trust your intuition - if you are concerned about your babyโ€™s movements, contact your doctor or midwife immediately.

During pregnancy you may feel your babyโ€™s movements, from anything from a kick or a flutter, to a roll or a swish. There is no set number of normal movements & you should continue to feel regular movement patterns right up to the time of your baby's birth.

Drinking a cold drink will not stimulate your baby - if your babyโ€™s movement pattern changes, the routine, strength or frequency, contact your doctor or midwife immediately.

We are POGS, your obstetrician practice in Subiaco, Mt Lawley, Perth and surrounding suburbs. We promote the wellbeing and dignity of women. We provide the highest quality care in obstetrics and gynaecology in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Our Perth Obstetricians & Gynaecologists practice is made up of our 3 primary obstetricians, 3 midwives and a supportive admin team. Our obstetricians are Dr Ana Perkovic, Dr Pierre Smith and Dr Patrick Wu.

We look forward to being your obstetrician. The team supports each woman and her partner, providing care according to their needs. Pregnancy is as an exciting time for the woman and her partner and our aim is a safe and pleasant experience for her childbirth.
