It is with profound sadness yet joyful hope in the resurrection that we announce the homegoing of our beloved Reverend Mrs Tiny Wilhemina Mazikhoniwa Tau Banda, a pillar of faith within the Assemblies of God movement, who transitioned to glory on Friday, August 29, 2025.

Reverend Mrs. Tau Banda was a devoted servant of God, renowned for her unwavering commitment to ministry and the countless lives she touched with her wisdom, compassion, and spiritual guidance. She leaves behind a rich legacy of kingdom advancement, impacting generations through her ministry and spiritual children.

We invite all members, friends, and well-wishers to join us in celebrating her extraordinary life and legacy.

38 years ago, the Lord sent me an angel. Mrs Tiny Banda Tau was the beloved wife to one of my mentors.

Before he passed on, he left instructions that she was to find me and take me under her wing, and guide me in the way of ministry.

I was still in Zimbabwe at the time. She made her way to my mother's village and asked of me, and did as her late husband had requested. She became a spiritual mentor, my pastor, and a mother to me all in one.

It would be under her tutelage and guidance that I would meet my wife Sherley, who just happened to be one of her spiritual daughters.

The rest, as they say, is history.

From the first day till today, she has been a force to reckon with in my life. One of the most formidable voices in my ministry upbringing and instrumental in shaping my ministry. She was a vessel of wisdom and a mother.

She called me "Moyo", she made me laugh, she kept me in line, I watched her minister with great awe and appreciation that God would send me a woman of God of her calibre to be a guide, and a mentor to me.

She taught me how to honour God, trust in His sovereignty, and even now, as I reflect on her graduation to glory, I can still hear her voice of love and wisdom in my ears.

You ran your race Mum, you fought the good fight. You left behind a powerful legacy, we will meet again on the other side🙏🏾

My Dearest Sherley, my Queen.

Thirty-two years ago, I said "I do" to the most incredible woman I'd ever met, and every single day since has proven that to be the greatest decision of my life.

We've scaled mountain peaks, hand-in-hand, basking in the glorious sunshine of shared triumphs. We've also navigated the darkest valleys, where the terrain threatened to tear us apart. Yet, it was in those very valleys, in the mending of what felt broken, that our love forged an unbreakable bond. They say the broken become the masters at mending, and darling, our love is a testament to that truth. It's a masterpiece, woven with threads of resilience, compassion, and an enduring fire that burns brighter with every passing year.

You’ve gifted me with two beautiful children who have, in turn, blessed us with the joy of grandchildren, filling our lives with laughter and love. These precious souls are a testament to the beautiful family we've built together, a legacy of love that continues to grow.

Today, as we celebrate this magnificent milestone, I find myself lost for words to truly express the depth of my love for you. You are my chocolate, my magnum ice-cream, my lollipop – sweeter and more precious than all the silver and gold in the world. Your patience, your unwavering support, and your beautiful spirit have not only shaped me into the man I am today but have also empowered me to minister to others with a full and open heart.

My beautiful Sherley, my woman of God, you are the air I breathe, the sunshine that warms my soul. Happy Birthday, my love. Here's to many more years of laughter, love, and shared adventures.
