Eskleigh Foundation Inc

Eskleigh Foundation Inc Eskleigh is a not-for-profit providing high quality support to people with a disability and people needing respite

We are governed by a passionate Board of Directors, strongly committed to Eskleigh’s mission, and are greatly reliant on the financial support and generosity of the Tasmanian community. Eskleigh is staffed by paid, qualified employees and volunteers. We operate a 42 bed supported accommodation with full time, qualified nursing and support staff at Eskleigh Home in Perth, Northern Tasmania. We also offer contemporary residential homes in Longford, Kings Meadows, Montrose and Mornington, where people with a disability requiring moderate support live as part of a group home arrangement. Both Eskleigh Home and the residential homes support and accommodate younger adults with varying levels of intellectual or physical disability, including disabilities caused by an Acquired Brain Injury. Eskleigh also boasts a premier statewide community support network, offering in-home care and respite services, enabling people with a disability to stay in the comfort of their own home with full support and daily healthcare. Delivering a real quality of life Eskleigh enables hundreds of Tasmanians with a range of disabilities to enjoy a meaningful, active and fulfilling way of life. Established in 1947, we have a long and proud history supporting people with a disability at a range of levels so that they may enjoy a quality of life not otherwise possible. With our supported accommodation options, attendant care and respite services and community events, Eskleigh supports and encourages clients to embrace life and become active members of their community, enriching not only the lives of people with a disability but feeding back into a prosperous Tasmanian community.

Today was a fantastic day for the people we support from Arthur Street. They enjoyed a delicious lunch at Deloraine and happened to catch up with some Tour de Cure Australia people. Steven was thrilled to meet them as he has been following their journey on Sunrise!
We donated some cash and captured some photos with the group!!

It’s great to have Newstead Christian School children back this year. They come to Eskleigh every Wednesday to help in the vegetable garden, propagating some plants and they have been helping Carl in the Community shed making a folding camping coffee table!

What a lovely morning Garry had! A visit to his friend Julie, and he found some stunning passion fruit flowers on his way. He couldn't resist giving Marley, the birthday pup, some extra cuddles to celebrate turning 2!! After that, they indulged in muffins and hot chocolate for a lovely morning tea, and all of this was before lunch!

It was wonderful brief Jo Palmer MLC about all the activities happening at Eskleigh, the new respite,SDA and other contemporary services Eskleigh now provides.

Eskleigh holds a special place in my heart.

It was wonderful to catch up with Sophie to hear how the organisation continues to grow and support Tasmanians living with disability, almost 80 years after it was first established.
