Melissa Perna - Holistic Hormone Health Melissa is a Holistic Hormone Coach and a Reiki Master. Conventional prescribed medication just didn’t help, which lead me to try a holistic approach.

She specialise in helping and supporting women with hormonal imbalances, such as PCOS, Endo, Peri Menopause and Thyroid dysfunction. I have personally suffered for a number of years with hormone issues, before finally being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was able to change my life and reverse my hormonal imbalances. I discovered that my purpose is to help empower and support other w

omen to do the same. As a holistic hormone coach, I will support, guide and nurture you every step as we walk together to achieve BALANCE. I am passionate about helping women get to the root cause of their concerns so that they can find optimal hormone health and happiness. I believe that balanced hormones = a happy and healthy life. On Saturday, 12th October, I had the absolute pleasure of sharing my story, my journey, and my passion for hormone health and overall wellbeing with an incredible group of 200 women at the Bruce Rock Ladies Luncheon.

The energy in the room was beyond words. It was such an honour to connect with these women on a deep, personal level, sharing how my struggles with PCOS and thyroid health led me to the path I walk today.

I shared the practices that helped me heal and the holistic approach I use to guide my clients. By embracing self-care and nourishment, we create space for true healing. These principles are the foundation of my work, empowering women to navigate their own healing journeys.

One of the most empowering moments was seeing the room fall silent as I spoke. The women were so open, so present, and so ready to receive. To witness their engagement and attention was a true gift.

I ended with something close to my heart, a moment of connection with our feminine energy, our womb space. I guided them through a 3 minute breath meditation to help them feel grounded, centered, and calm. Watching the women embrace this practice was a truly powerful moment.

A huge thank you to Susan Hodgkiss and the committee for bringing women from across the Wheatbelt community together and for organising such a beautiful event.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you've received your bloodwork results, and your doctor assures you that everything is "normal," but you still don't feel quite right?

Well, you're not alone, I know, because I have been there!

This is something I see so frequently. When you get your blood tested, there is a reference range on the results, and if you fall within the reference range, it is assumed there is nothing wrong.

The problem is that standard reference ranges usually represent “average” population rather than the optimal levels required to maintain good health.

If you have ever been told your results are normal, but you still feel like crap 💩 know it’s not in your head. Your symptoms are clues from your body that something is out of balance.

You need someone to look at you as an individual and do some digging to find out why you are not feeling your best!

Magnesium is hands down one of the most important supplements you can be using. Most women I work with have a magnesium deficiency as we no longer meet our daily needs with food as our soils have been sterilised due to farming and our food no longer contains enough.

As my clients can tell you, I recommend magnesium for almost every hormonal condition including PCOS, insulin resistance, PMDD, migraines, hormone regulation, PMS relief, thyroid dysfunctions, and perimenopause.

My favourite type of magnesium is Bisglycinate, as it is fast absorbing.
My favourite brands include bioceuticals, ethical nutrients and fusion health.

Food sources of magnesium include leafy greens vegetables, nuts & seeds, dark chocolate, wholegrains & legumes.

I absolutely love magnesium and if there is only one supplement you should be taking it is definitely MAGNESIUM 👌🏻

Classic brain fog!! 😶‍🌫️ You are not crazy and it’s not in your mind… even if your doctor told you that!

Brain fog is a common symptom of an underactive thyroid and perimenopause. Hormonal changes in perimenopause and menopause can bring on symptoms of fogginess and forgetfulness. Our brains love the hormone estrogen, it helps to protect brain cells. However, during perimenopause, our levels of estrogen first fluctuate and then drop.

So many of us are deficient in this vitamin, which is crazy because it’s crucial for so many things like - calcium absorption, maintaining healthy bones, regulating insulin sensitivity, and maintaining a healthy immune system and it plays a vital role in producing thyroid hormones 😍

If you're supplementing with Vitamin D3, it is essential to make sure that it consists of vitamin K!
