Mindfulness: A Small Practice with a Big Impact
(Part of our Mood & Anxiety Group Program)

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck? You’re not alone, and mindfulness is one of the most powerful tools we introduce in our Mood & Anxiety Group Program here at Picton Psychology.

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention to the present moment, noticing your thoughts, emotions, and body with compassion. In our group, we guide you through simple, practical mindfulness techniques that can help you:
✔️ Reduce anxiety and stress
✔️ Improve sleep and focus
✔️ Regulate emotions
✔️ Regulate reactivity

You’ll also learn why mindfulness works, backed by science and explained in an easy-to-understand way.

Your group workbook includes exercises you can try at home, with guidance and support along the way.

Mindfulness is just one of many evidence-based strategies covered in our group program, designed to help you stabilise, gain insight, and build long-term emotional resilience.

Our next group intake is filling fast, get in touch today to reserve your place or learn more.

Assessments at Picton Psychology

Wondering where to begin? Our journey starts with free screening measures, a simple and supportive first step in the assessment process.

What are screening measures and why do we use them?

They’re a series of online forms and questionnaires that explore your (or your loved one’s):
✅ Background
✅ Strengths
✅ Areas of difficulty or concern

Why we use them:
✨ To determine whether a full diagnostic assessment is needed
✨ To guide which type of assessment will be most helpful
✨ To make sure you’re on the right path, before committing to anything further

💡 A diagnosis can’t be made from screening alone, but it can bring peace of mind and clarity.

The best part?
✔️ Screeners are completely free
✔️ No obligation to continue
✔️ A great way to see if we’re the right fit for you

Whether you're exploring assessments for ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Functioning, or Specific Learning Disorders, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
