Event: FREE Parent Workshop - Uncovering the Hidden Message Behind Behaviours

🕒 Time: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
📍 Location: Welcome Lotteries House, Karratha

Join us for a supportive workshop designed to help parents decode the hidden messages behind their child’s behaviours. This session offers insights into understanding behaviours as a form of communication, providing tools to interpret what your child may be trying to express.

In this workshop, you will:

- Learn how to "read the behaviour" and uncover what your child might be seeking (like sensory needs, connection, or safety) or avoiding (like overstimulation or demands).
- Discover practical strategies to support your child by responding to their unique communication needs.
- Gain a new perspective on behaviours from a neuroaffirming, person-centered approach.
- Led by experienced facilitators, this workshop is free to attend and open to all parents interested in enhancing their understanding of their child's needs.

Happy Wednesday, people.
We want to announce that the Deadly Warriors group is back for term 3!!

Our amazing Occupational Therapist, Amy, will run this women's social and fitness therapy group.

Starting Tuesday, August 13th, for five weeks, we will be meeting at Karratha Leisureplex.

The group dates will run on Tuesdays as follows:
• 13th August
• 20th August
• 27th August
• 03rd September
• 10th September

This term's theme is "Belonging and Relationships."
Topics include:
Acts of kindness
Common interests
Setting boundaries
Assertive communication
A good friend
