One of the biggest game changers for appetite regulation isn’t restriction its pairing.

When you combine nutrient dense foods (think protein, fibre, healthy fats, vitamins & minerals) with more flexible or fun foods (your favorite bread, chocolate, cheese, etc.), you get the best of both worlds:

🍽️ Balanced satiety : protein & fibre help regulate hunger cues.
🍫 Satisfaction : allowing enjoyable foods prevents the “all or nothing” cycle.

We now spending a few planned months at maintenance and increasing our calories , with the goal of improving metabolic function, increasing calories over time, and providing a well-deserved break from a deficit! Before we head back to another fat loss phase before summer ☀️

Having to learn to be kind to yourself is a challenge in itself.

I’ve spent years building a physique I was confident in, years training how I wanted, when I wanted.

I’m learning to navigate recovery, not being able to move exactly how I want, when I want, having to give my body time to heal and step back.

I’m in a body that’s mine, but doesn’t quite feel like mine.

And that’s ok
It’s ok to not feel 100% like you
Its ok to feel out of control
It’s ok to struggle with change

My current journey is facing the challenges of what I want to do versus what I need to do.

My goal was to always work with men and women who grew up without knowledge or support with their food, why though ?

These individuals had so much potential to reach their growth but more often than not were stuck in a cycle of FAD and YOYO diets because of their upbringing.

Homemade oat bars 🙈

Why pay $7-$9 for packet oat bars when you can make it with minimal ingredients at home ?

I went past the museli bar section the other day and forgot how expensive that sh*t was !

Now im not a fool, ease of purchase I get it, however
-packet bars have 15+ ingredients in them
-can cost around $1.50 per bar

Homemade slices, sure take 15 minutes to cook
-you know the ingredients in it ! (4-6 generally)
-will cost around $0.80 a bar
-is made from higher quality ingredients

Stop ✋ getting caught out with convenience food, packet snacks, they’re racking your grocery bill up and leaving you hungry and unsatisfied.

My soul focus is nourishing and supporting my body , it spent 10 months growing a baby and will continue to support little zali through breast feeding.

Not getting protein in at breakfast ?
Over overnight oats or Weetbix ?

Breakfast muffins 🥓

🍳 + 🥓 + 🧀 + bbq sauce + hash brown 🤤

Reheat by wrapping in some paper towel and microwaving or placing in a grill !

Let’s be real…

I ran a poll and guess what? The biggest hurdle with meal prepping wasn’t lack of time, ideas or knowledge.

It was actually getting into the kitchen.

Oof. Been there.
But here’s the truth: that’s an excuse.

Meal prepping isn’t the time waster it’s the time saver.

✨ Cook once, eat multiple times.
💸 Prep in bulk = less money wasted on last minute meals.
🧼 One kitchen clean up instead of seven.
⏰ More free time during your busy week.
😢 less emotional food choices

The hardest part is starting.
But the reality? Not prepping is costing you more time, more money, and more stress.

So next time your brain says “I can’t be bothered” remind it that 1 hour of effort today = a smoother, cheaper, and easier week.
