Fast forward to February we finally had some movement at the Sub Centre. On demo morning, we had a crew go out to a job at 6am and the sub centre was still standing - when they returned at 11am it was down to a pile of rubble… stay tuned for the next installment!

Back in September last year, we had approval for our Sub Cebtre rebuild.. we had 10 days apparently to move out of the Sub Centre.

Congratulations to our newest Life Member Jenny Wiles!

Jenny joined Pingelly SJA in 2005, and was an active ambulance officer from the get go. Jenny is a well respected and natural leader for the Pingelly crew, and one I think we all look to for advice, support & feedback.

Jenny became chair person in 2007 and held this position until 2022, she has had a well earned year off to rejuvenate, but has recently stepped back into the role to lead us once again in 2024.

In 2014 Jenny also took on the role of VDO and is still a current VDO. In her VDO role Jenny is an encouraging and positive leader, offering advice always with patience - sometimes a bit of “give it here” when we just can’t grasp it or the iPad moved stuff around! She attends the VDO weekends and brings back to us new knowledge or changes in procedures, often met with eye rolls but we do appreciate you trying to make us better.

I think it’s been about 3 or 4 years in the making, Jenny has been hard at work behind the scenes trying to get our new build approved and the ball rolling, it has been a hugely frustrating and slow project to get approved, with some hands out of our control not talking to other hands, we finally got approval and last school holidays we were given the notice that we had 10 days to move out of the Sub Centre as works were going to be started… cue madness and mayhem! Its been 8 weeks with nothing happening as the Shire threw another curve ball, but Jenny has managed this all seemingly effortlessly and efficiently!

Jenny tonight we would like to present to you, Life Membership of the Pingelly Sub Centre.

🐍 Snakes are out and about! Pingelly crew has attended one snake bite patient in the last week already. Snake Bite kits are available to purchase from the Drs Surgery during surgery hours only. $10 per kit. Any crew member can also assist with purchasing kits.
