Meet the paramedics who support and stand alongside our incredible volunteers—bringing experience, guidance, and care when it matters most.

Here’s a little more about one of the amazing paramedics supporting our crew 👇

This week we are introducing Tamra

🚑 How long have you been a paramedic?
I’ve been a paramedic for 13.5 years—which feels like both 5 minutes and a lifetime 🤩

🚑 What inspired you to become a paramedic?
I’ve always been drawn to helping people on their worst days. Being able to show up when someone is scared, in pain, or vulnerable—and bring a bit of calm to the chaos—is something I don’t take lightly.

I honestly couldn’t do this job without my faith, it’s what keeps me grounded and able to keep showing up 😊

🚑 What do you love about working at Pinjarra?
The people, 100%. It’s one of those places where everyone just gets it—we work hard, look after each other, and still manage to have a laugh in between jobs.

It feels like a family, not just a workplace 💗

🚑 Fun fact about me!
I lived in South Carolina for 4 years where I played NCAA tennis and completed my first degree 🎾

These days (running around after 3 kids), I’m a little less athletic and a lot more reliant on coffee ☕️😅

Here is a little more about one of our amazing paramedics 👇

First up we are meeting Marie

🚑 How long have you been a paramedic?
Almost 30 years! (13 years in the UK 🇬🇧 and 17 years here in WA 💚)

🚑 What inspired you to become a paramedic?
At just 13, a school-organised work experience at Wellingborough Ambulance Station (not even one of my chosen placements!) changed everything. I loved every minute—and the rest is history.

🚑 What do you love about working at Pinjarra?
The people! The fun, the laughter (the kind that makes your stomach hurt 😄).

The incredible volunteers. They’re passionate, eager to learn, and bring such a wide range of skills and life experiences.

Plus, I’ve made some amazing friendships—our green family is something special 💚

🚑 Fun fact about me!
When I’m not in green, you’ll find me swimming (in chlorine! 🏊‍♀️), walking my bootiful puppies Sherlock & Martha 🐾, or riding my Ducati motorbike—safely & carefully of course! 🏍️

🚗🏁 What a day in Pinjarra! 🏁🚜

From shiny cars to roaring lawn mowers, today’s event brought the community together for plenty of fun, noise, and great energy!

Our St John Pinjarra/Dwellingup volunteers were on hand throughout the day, supporting the event and ready to help whenever needed. We’re always proud to be part of days like this—keeping the community safe while everyone enjoys themselves.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat or gave us a wave 👋 We love being part of such a vibrant and supportive community 💚

What an incredible day out at the Maxx Pinjarra Car Show! 🚗✨

Our St John Pinjarra/Dwellingup volunteer crew were proud to be there supporting the community and ensuring everyone stayed safe while enjoying the event. From classic beauties to modern showstoppers, there was something for everyone—and it was great to see so many smiling faces.

A big thank you to the event organisers and everyone who came along to make it such a fantastic day. We love being part of a community that comes together like this 💛

🐰 Easter Celebrations 🐰

Some of our crew including the amazing Kura Bear celebrated Easter early with Eastlake Church. They had lots of fun hunting for eggs, dancing, and making kids smile.

Cardiac arrest doesn’t discriminate, but response sometimes does. Woman are 27% less likely to receive bystander CPR, often due to uncertainty. That’s why St John WA has introduced female CPR training manikins, building confidence through more realistic training.

Because in an emergency, it’s simple.
Start CPR. 🚑❤️
