Baby girls are born
with all the eggs they’ll ever have.
Which means inside you
is not just your daughter
you’re carrying her future children too.

The babies she may one day hold.
The laughter, the love, the life
that hasn’t even begun yet…
all quietly resting inside you.

Three generations.
One body.
One sacred moment in time.

A mother.
A daughter.
And the possibility
of a grandchild.

Life is already weaving
a future you can’t see,
touch, or imagine yet
but it’s there.

Soft.
Silent.
Sacred.

I’ll never forget that first night after birth.

The room was quiet.
The lights were dim.
My body was exhausted in a way I didn’t know was possible.

And there you were.
So small.
So perfect.
Sleeping on my chest like you’d always belonged there.

I watched every breath you took.
Counted every tiny rise and fall of your chest.
Listened to every little sound, afraid to miss a single one.

My heart felt like it had grown overnight.
Like it had cracked open and filled with a love I didn’t know existed.

I was sore.
I was emotional.
I was running on no sleep.

But none of that mattered.
Because in that moment, nothing else in the world existed but you.

No distractions.
No noise.
Just a mother and her baby, learning each other for the very first time.

And I remember thinking…
How did I live before you?

Because from that first night on,
everything changed.

🌟Happy 2026 to you all 🌟
I hope everyone started their year off safely and happy.  
This year i’m looking to form more real connections with people, the deep conversations and connections is what i’m always drawn to.
I couldn’t decide on one word to focus on for the year, but 4 words! 
•Balance (work-home), 
•Value (continue to value myself), 
•Worth (remembering that I am worthy even if others can see it or not), 
•Joy (find joy in an experience each day).
I am looking forward to supporting and nurturing clients through their various journeys, and welcoming new life earth side,  the current clients and clients yet to cross my path. 
What are you wanting to get out of this year?

2025 - Thank you to all of you who put your faith in me and allowed me to be part of your journeys. 
Another year of supporting women and their families.  A year of highs and lows, and as I stood by the side of my clients I felt it all. 
Another year of pregnancy support, supporting labours and births, much postpartum care, education and guidance, and of course my energy healing sessions and sound baths.
I took time out to support my own family as well as myself when I needed too.
Reflecting on where the year took me, I am grateful for the people I met and connected with, as well as the amount of sunrises and sunsets I was able to witness doing this work.
Let’s see what next year has in store for everyone.

This week I had the pleasure to support a client of mine as she embraced 2 days of prelabour before a full day and evening of established labour.
She showed such strength through the whole process.  She stayed in control and made choices that were right for her.  With no added pressure from anyone, she had the strength to keep going.  She never gave up and did everything on her terms.
She called it a marathon, and it was.  
She was determined. She was strong, and I am in awe.

When i’m doing Prenatal sessions with clients I discuss various birthing positions and using tools such as tens, birth ball, toilet, comb, the list goes on…. A birth preferences document is created with each individual clients desires for their birth experience. 
So it’s very disheartening during labour when a care provider strolls in and says ‘it doesn’t matter what position you are in, it won’t make any difference to your labour’!  
Pretty upsetting that the client can be encouraged to be in a bad position and discouraged to try anything that might be more comfortable for them.  (Also makes me look like an idiot for suggesting things that might actually be beneficial for them 🙄).  
First time parents, as well as any birthing parent, need more encouragement from care providers to support their labour not hinder it. 
I will always continue to encourage position changes, encourage them to listen to their body and trust their intuition! 
I believe in them and their ability to birth, I trust the process 💞

I’ve have not been sharing much on social media for a while, but today’s prenatal healing session was extra special.
The person I shared my healing space with today is a client I will be supporting through another birth by the end of the month, and this will be the fifth time I have shared her birthing space with her. 
We talked about life, family and even pets.  We went over this upcoming  births preferences, and discussed the last 4 births I’ve supported her through. 
I talked her through her crystal grid I intuitively put together, a guided pregnancy meditation and then a prenatal energy healing and sound bath.
 I could feel how spirited and cheeky this new little person will be, and throughout the healing I was picking up on a few different animals.  During my debrief afterwards, I decided to pull out my Spirit Animal Oracle deck to do a card pull.  
To our surprise she actually pulled the Turtle Spirit card, which was very cool as her favourite animal is a turtle, but also it was about going slowly and just be, taking extra care and patience. So fitting for the end of pregnancy.
We accidentally talked for so long before and after the session that we ended up having lunch and a cuppa tea too.

The chance of conceiving twins naturally is 0.03%.

And somehow, I fell into that lucky 0.03%

People see the double strollers, the double chaos, the double everything.
But they don’t see the numbers behind it.
How rare it really is.
How wild it feels to be chosen for something like this.

Some days it’s beautiful.
Some days it’s heavy.
Some days I’m convinced the universe gave me a two for one because it knew I’d love them hard enough for both.

But every day?
I’m grateful.
Exhausted, but grateful.

Because 0.03% turned into two little heartbeats…
and somehow, that tiny percentage became my entire world.

Happy Saturday 🌻
Another busy month full of postnatal care, supporting new mums with breastfeeding support and guidance as well as emotional support, supporting labour, connecting with new people through video chats, new contracts done, lots of phone and email support provided, and topped off with a brunch meeting yesterday.
I’m so pleased to tailor my support to meet the needs of each client and their family, to make any kind of positive difference to their experience, and to remind them how beautiful motherhood is even on the hardest days.

A mother’s baby is always a part of her.

And not just in her heart. The bond between mother and child is written into biology itself.

Science shows that even after birth, a child’s DNA can remain inside a mother’s body for years—sometimes for life. These fetal cells travel through her blood, settle in her brain and organs, and weave themselves into her being.

The phenomenon is called fetal-maternal microchimerism.

Even after miscarriage, those cells remain. A child becomes part of her not only emotionally, but physically—etched into her very biology.

It makes sense, doesn’t it? The connection is deeper than heart and soul. It is cellular. Eternal.

Her children live within her. Always.

12 years ago today I attended my very first birth as a Doula 🙌.
I sit and reflect on that birth, and there are parts I remember as if it was yesterday!
I recall standing by the side of this new mum, as I have with the many other new mums and partners who I have supported through their labour and birth.
To be asked into a birth space, and witness these birthing experiences over the years through singleton births, twin births and repeat clients birthing experiences, has been such an honour.
I’ve seen so many sunrises and moonlit skies as i’m on my way to or from the births I have attended. I have supported every single birth with an open heart and an open mind, reassuring and guiding clients and encouraging them when they say they want to give up.
My heart is full doing this work and I am grateful for every opportunity to support each new mum and their family.

Having personal experience with twins gives me the confidence to encourage and educate my clients with twins too.
It may be hard in the early years, but it will be so worth it 💞.

You CAN do it 👣👣

Stop. Telling. Twin. Mamas.
How bad it’s going to be.

We. Already. Know.

We know there will be sleepless nights.
We know there will be double the diapers.
We know there will be days we run on fumes.

But here’s the thing,
Telling us how miserable we’re about to be doesn’t help.

What we actually need?
“You’ve got this.”
“You’re stronger than you think.”
“It’ll be worth it.”

Because it will be worth it.
Every sleepless night.
Every messy moment.
Every second of figuring it out.

So if you see a mama pregnant with twins,
Skip the horror stories.
Skip the negativity.

Cheer her on.
Because she already knows the hard parts…
What she needs is hope.
