We hope you enjoy a well-deserved Easter break. Food intolerances and allergies shouldn't mean you or your patients can't indulge in a treat this Easter. The below recipe is gluten and dairy-free. You can also get creative and add other ingredients e.g. desiccated coconut, goji berries, hazelnuts, etc. depending on the intolerance or allergy.

Ingredients
40 g cacao butter or melted coconut oil
40 g cacao powder
1/2 vanilla pod (seeds only) or 1 tsp vanilla extract
10 g rice syrup or sweetener of choice, eg. stevia

Other equipment needed: silicone chocolate mould

Instructions
1. Melt the cacao butter or coconut oil (microwave around 30 seconds, or over a small saucepan of boiling water).
2. Stir in cacao powder, vanilla, and rice syrup or other sweetener.
3. Pour into chocolate mould and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
4. Store in air-tight containers when removing chocolate from mould.

Optional: Keep in freezer instead of fridge

Serving size: 6 - 8 medium chocolate eggs.
