• This systematic review and meta-analysis explores the effects of mandibular torus on OSA and on therapy.
• The study included 11 studies, representing 1372 patients.
• The authors found that "patients with mandibular tori are more likely to have OSA, and larger tori are generally associated with its presence. While larger tori are more likely to be associated with OSA, patients with severe OSA tend to have smaller tori. The evidence is conflicted on whether tori are risk factors for OSA or if they are a protective effect against severe OSA."
