Residents at Point Cook Manor were recently treated to a magical Christmas celebration! The Palm Lakes Choir visited and filled the home with festive joy, performing a beautiful selection of Christmas songs that warmed everyone’s hearts.
To make the day even more special, Mrs Claus stopped by to spend time with the residents, sharing smiles and laughter as the choir sang. Her visit added an extra touch of holiday magic and personal connection to the festivities.
It was a truly memorable occasion, leaving everyone with lasting smiles and cherished memories. Thank you to the Palm Lakes Choir and Mrs Claus for making this Christmas so wonderful!

Recently, Butterfly Kidz visited Point Cook Manor with their beautiful butterfly enclosure, creating a safe, calm, and immersive sensory experience. Residents were able to step inside and interact with the butterflies—or simply reach in and let the butterflies land gently on their hands.

Awe filled the room as butterflies fluttered around, landing on residents and staff alike. It was an enchanting and inclusive experience that everyone could enjoy. Thank you to Butterfly Kidz for bringing such wonder and joy to the Point Cook Manor community. 🦋

After the huge success of last year’s Spring Carnival, the residents of Point Cook Manor requested it become an annual tradition—and we were thrilled to bring it back!

The day was packed with excitement and laughter. Lifestyle Assistant Lisa brought in her crystal ball and gave residents personal tarot readings, adding a touch of mystery and magic to the festivities ✨.

Residents enjoyed classic carnival games like the bean bag toss, barrel toss, and the ever-popular Malteser guess jar competition.

There was also a dress-up station where residents could get into costume and become part of the entertainment, with a cheerful clown entertainer bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

Residents had an absolute blast exploring science experiments with a fun twist!

From making gooey slime to watching volcanoes erupt and testing out the classic bouncing egg experiment. The afternoon was full of curiosity, laughter, and hands-on fun. A Father's Day raffle during the day added even more excitement 🎉.

At Point Cook Manor, residents and staff gathered in the cooking room to whip up delicious egg and bacon pies. The morning was filled with laughter, recipe sharing and wonderful memories, and a tasty morning tea to enjoy together.

Point Cook residents were treated to a Classic Banana split stall, serving up fresh bananas, whipped cream, ice cream, two delicious topping flavours and of course, a cherry on top! This old-fashioned dessert brought back sweet memories and plenty of smiles. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and nostalgia as residents lined up in a long queue, eagerly waiting for their turn. It was a heartwarming sight to see everyone enjoying this timeless treat together! 🍨

A truly special day honoring the incredible contributions of the staff alongside the wonderful residents was celebrated at Point Cook Manor for Aged Care Employee Day.

The morning began with a delightful High Tea shared with the residents, followed by touching speeches where residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff. It was a beautiful reminder of the strong bonds and deep appreciation within our community.

In the afternoon, the staff were honored with a special photo display featuring residents holding “Thank You” and “Love Your Work” cards — a small gesture with a big message: your hard work does not go unnoticed.

A big thank you to Satya (Acting DON) for her inspiring speech, acknowledging the passion and dedication of every team member at Point Cook Manor.

As part of NAIDOC Week, the residents of Point Cook Manor took part in a special craft activity that connected them with nature and honoured Indigenous culture. The residents walked around the grounds of the home collecting fallen leaves and gumnuts which inspired them to create indigenous inspired art pieces.

The activity sparked conversations on the importance of culture and traditions, as well as the achievements and cerebrations of different cultures. It was a wonderful afternoon spent learning and partaking in art activities and socialising with others. How fabulous do their finished works of art look! 🎨

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a movie and lunch with friends. Residents from Point Cook Manor recently enjoyed an outing to the local cinemas to see the newly released F1 movie. As devoted fans of Brad Pitt, excitement was high, and the film certainly lived up to expectations. While many of the Homestyle homes boast in-house movie theatres, nothing compares to the thrill of watching a film on the big screen. It was a fun and memorable outing for everyone involved! 🍿🎬
