๐Ÿ’™ November is Diabetes Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’™

Did you know that diabetes can affect your eyes? Diabetic Retinopathy happens when high blood sugar levels damage the tiny blood vessels in the retina, the part of your eye that sends visual signals to your brain.

It can progress without obvious symptoms and may lead to vision loss if left untreated. Those with diabetes, especially those with high blood sugar or blood pressure, are at higher risk.

๐Ÿ‘€ What can you do?

๐Ÿ“† Schedule regular eye exams
๐Ÿซ€ Manage blood sugar and blood pressure
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Don't ignore changes in vision

Book your regular checkup. Early detection can make all the difference!

Are you keeping an eye on your screen time? ๐Ÿ‘€โฐ

With more time spent on our phones and devices, it's essential to be aware of how it affects our eyes. Digital eye strain, also known as computer vision syndrome, can cause a range of symptoms, including:

๐Ÿ‘“ Eye fatigue
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Blurred vision
๐Ÿ˜ฉ Headaches
๐Ÿ‘€ Dry eyes
๐Ÿ“ฑ Increased sensitivity to light

But don't worryโ€”there are steps you can take to reduce digital eye strain:

๐Ÿ” Take regular breaks: Follow the 20-20-20 ruleโ€”every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Move around: Get up, stretch, and give your eyes a break from the screen.
๐Ÿ’ง Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your eyes moist and comfortable.
๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Use blue light filters: Consider using blue light-blocking glasses or software to reduce eye strain.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Adjust your screen: Increase font sizes, adjust brightness, and position your screen at eye level to reduce glare and strain.
