Lets talk sunlight!

Sunlight is so important to the circadian rhythm, that is your body’s inner clock which helps to determine:
- Sleep/wake timing
- Melatonin release
- Mood
- Energy
- Alertness
- Digestion, metabolism and hormone timing

Inadequate daytime light exposure and excessive evening artificial light can disrupt circadian rhythms and sleep quality.

Morning sunlight is particularly important. Try to watch the sunrise as often as you can and enjoy those little pockets of light on your skin even as we approach the colder months!

Gentle chiropractic care to support your family through every age and stage ❤️

28/04/2026

Sometimes it’s the unknown that serves as the barrier to ‘doing the thing’.

Will my child ‘behave well’ in the appointment? Will it be very clinical? Will it feel like yet another thing in our schedule that we need to do? Will it hurt or be uncomfortable?

In my experience, working with families can be so joyful. And those small misalignments and nervous system disconnections have a big effect on their day to day lives. Gentle nervous system based chiropractic care can help.

Curious? Please reach out with questions about what your family’s nerves system care could look like ❤️

Bee Breathing

Let’s activate the Vagus Nerve with some breathwork and vibration.

1. Find a comfy seat or lay down
2. Use your fingers to block the ears
3. Breathe in, on the exhale hum as loud as you can!
4. Repeat with 5-10 breaths

Share this with someone who could use a little bee magic today!

Let’s talk Green Zone – Red Zone!

The Green Zone is our most regulated state, here we can have more access to calm, we want to connect and be around people, we are more curious, open and have the capacity for learning and better decision making.

The Red Zone is a different story, still so essential to our body’s functioning, but will look more like a short fuse, potentially more emotional, angry or frustrated. The priority here is safety. Connection and learning simply aren’t on the to do list. Lots of time spent in this state will often result in gut and immune issues, body tension and poor sleep.

Green and red zone states should wax and wane over the day, but if your child (or you!) feel like you’re stuck or are spending more time in the Red Zone, it would be worthwhile checking to see if your nervous system is asking for some more support.

Chiropractors are trained to assess for nervous system stress and help you find the ‘why’, correcting the cause of nervous system dysregulation. Questions? Send me a message, I’d love to chat with you.

Let’s chat about posture!

Posture absolutely can indicate a musculoskeletal stress or imbalance, but more commonly than you would think it can also be an indication that:

- The left or right side of the brain is working harder and stronger than the other side creating a difference in muscle tension through one side of the body. You may also notice behavioural, learning issues or attention differences here.

-Poor proprioception- the bodies ability to feel where it is in space. You may also notice clumsiness.

-Eye alignment issues- you may notice reading or learning issues or challenges with school work.

-Inner ear imbalances- they may also get car sick or easily dizzy, or the opposite, hardly ever motion sick!

There are lots of reasons posture can be out of sorts. It starts with checking, then we can get to the underlying cause.

Mornings can feel rushed ! But… the brain still needs input before it can focus.

If you only have 5–10 minutes, try:
– trampoline (cardio → switches the brain on)
– monkey bars / hanging
– running around outside
–cross crawl (1–2 mins)
These simple movements help with focus, coordination and smoother transitions into school.
It doesn’t need to be complicated, just consistent 😊🧠🙌🏼

The most common signs that your baby or older child would benefit from some gentle cranial work:

1. Head Shape- when looking from above, are the ears even? Is the back of the head nicely rounded on each side or is there asymmetry or flattening?
2. Head Sensitivity- they dislike wearing hats or headbands, hair washing or even light touches around the head and neck.
3. Tongue restriction and feeding issues- they had or they have tongue ties or oral restrictions or a history of difficult latching and feeding. Cranial tension can contribute to oral dysfunction, and oral dysfunction can contribute to cranial issues!

A gentle chiropractic nervous system and cranial check will illuminate the cause of these issues, happy to chat, send me a DM if you’re curious ✨❤️

Did you know your child’s skull has subtle movement?
It’s not something you can see or feel, but it plays a role in how fluid moves around the brain and how the nervous system regulates.
These small movements can be influenced by:
• positioning in utero
• the birth process
• bumps, knocks and falls
• ongoing tension (especially in the jaw, neck + shoulders)
When there’s restriction, it usually doesn’t show up as pain.
Sometimes it looks like:
– unsettled or irritable behaviour
– feeding or latching challenges
– mouth breathing or sinus congestion
– headaches or jaw tension
– poor sleep
– a system that feels a bit “on edge”
If you’re noticing some of these signs in your child, it may be worth exploring ✨❤️

Last night invited the 2026 YTT group to a beautiful initiation ceremony. It was a moving, sacred night and so special to share with these beautiful humans I’ve been getting to know these past few months.

So why yoga teacher training? I’ve been practicing yoga since my uni days and always loved the little yoga philosophy nuggets we would get before class. Yoga is so much more than stretching and the physical postures. We are just beginning to explore the wide world that is yoga- deep and ancient philosophy and teachings. Basically, how to ‘do life’- live congruently and well in a world that was designed to distract and dysregulate us. Return back to simplicity and the truth of who we are.

I have loved every minute of the journey so far and am so grateful to our teacher .bec , the crew, our amazing guest teachers, alumni, broader community and of course my legendary peers in the 2026 group.

Will I teach yoga… who knows! But I love how these learnings give a lens on living a beautiful life and supporting the nervous system . It’s right up my alley😊

Thanks for the photos !
