Wow what busy week for Naidoc
Our residents joined in a lot events, the opening, culture day, the elders morning tea, lunch at Pika Wiya, lunch provided by Interact who are building our new facility and then the March. Residents requested a quick drive to Quorn for fish and chips in the park.

Also WAMI Kata came second in the Quiz Night and we were also presented NAIDOC Business of the year 2025 🖤❤️💛

ARTIST Expression of Interest (EOI) Now Open
Wami Kata Old Folks Home Inc is seeking input from Aboriginal Artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to contribute to the architectural and landscape design elements of its new state-of-the-art residential aged-care facility whether through sculpture, murals, decorative panels, timber features, printed works, or other artistic expressions
If you are passionate about using art to connect people, celebrate culture, and enrich the spaces where we live and gather, we encourage you to submit your Expression of Interest. Submissions should outline your artistic background, approach and experience, as well as any initial ideas for how your work could respond to the cultural and spatial context of the facility
Expression of Interest Close Friday 30 May 2025
For further enquiries regarding the EOI process, project details, or submission requirements, please contact Tanikka Warren, Project Administrator at reception@wamikata.org.au
