Broughton Clinic is running a project to send an SMS message to folk over 70 who are due for a pneumonia vaccine. We will be send batches of 50 per week to let you know if you are in this group. The vaccine can easily be given with your flu needle in a few weeks time or at the time of getting repeat scripts etc, so don't feel pressured to book a specific appointment immediately just to get this done. Many will have had one or two doses (if at higher risk) at 65 but a booster or first dose has now been recommended for all at 70 as long as it is at least 12 months since your last dose. Our goal is to get as many folk covered as we can!
