Heatwave Warning! 🥵

Staying hydrated should be your number one priority this summer.

Did you know severe dehydration can actually thicken your blood, making it harder for your body to function efficiently? 🩸

Tip 1
Don't Wait for Thirst: drink water regularly, even when you're not actively thirsty.

Tip 2
Watch Your Urine: if it's dark yellow, you need to drink more! Pale yellow is the goal.

Tip 3
Listen to Your Body: headaches, dizziness, or fatigue can be early signs of dehydration—get cool and rehydrate immediately.

Our local treasure! We very much value you and your work Kirsty

Meet Kirsty Palmer – a true unsung hero of Port Broughton’s Health Service.

If you've visited the health service, chances are you've been greeted by Kirsty’s warm smile at Reception. Kirsty’s role is essential—she’s the first friendly face people see, ensuring everything runs smoothly. But her impact goes even further—she’s the heartbeat of the community, offering kindness, support, and a helping hand every day.

Whether she’s guiding a colleague through a new system, comforting a patient in need, or volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Kirsty lives by a simple but powerful belief: treat others how you’d want to be treated.

Her message is clear: “A little bit of kindness goes a long way. It’s about creating a positive space where everyone thrives—staff and patients alike.”

As the first point of contact at Port Broughton, Kirsty’s familiar presence brings comfort, especially in challenging times. She knows her community, and they know her—that connection is truly priceless.

Thank you, Kirsty, for your unwavering dedication and the incredible difference you make every day! 🙌
