Barunga by the Sea has been designed to ensure you retain your independence and privacy, while enjoying the wonderful lifestyle benefits of Port Broughton. Our low maintenance homes allow you to do more of the things you enjoy, all whilst feeling safe and secure in our retirement village. The village has a modern community centre with heated swimming pool and gym, caravan and boat parking, a community garden, is pet friendly and has a walking track directly into the heart of Port Broughton. Barunga Community Care offers a range of services to people living in the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula regions, and everywhere in between. Our services can now be delivered to your home to help you… wherever you live. There are two levels of Government subsidised support for eligible people who wish to remain in their own home for longer. The entry level support services are through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) which offer assistance with transport and domestic services. The next level of support is a Home Care Package (HCP) which is a personalised package of care customised to suit your needs. It may include services such as domestic assistance, personal care (bathing and dressing etc.), social support, meal preparation, shopping, light gardening, transport and medication support. Private fee-for-service is also available upon request if you are unable to/or do not wish to use Government subsidised services. RESIDENTIAL

Barunga Village proudly offers residential care at two welcoming locations: Barunga Homes in Port Broughton and The Willochra Home in Crystal Brook. Barunga Homes is an award-winning aged care facility, specialising in dementia care. Located in the delightful seaside town of Port Broughton on the Yorke Peninsula, each of the 87 rooms offer an ensuite and outdoor views. The Willochra Home, located in the heart of Crystal Brook, continues Barunga Village’s tradition of respectful, relationship-centred care. With 34 fully serviced rooms, it offers both high and low-level care in a welcoming country-style setting. Our holistic services provide our consumers priority access to additional services within Barunga Village, as their health needs change. Bidding is NOW OPEN to our whole community!

We are thrilled to kick off our Sip & Style Fundraiser by releasing a very special silent auction item early… and it is one we know will mean a lot to many of you.

A huge thank you to George Hewett, who has generously signed a Carlton Football Club guernsey for our silent auction. This is an incredible collector’s piece for any Blues supporter/George fan!

ATTENTION - SIP & STYLE TICKET HOLDERS
The countdown is on, and we cannot wait to see you this Friday.

A few things to know before the fun begins:

- Arrival -
Doors open from 12:30pm. Grab your drink card, settle in and we will aim to have everyone seated by 1:00pm.

- Check-in -
Your name will be on the guest list (a physical ticket was not provided). Check in at the first counter and pick up your complimentary sparkling wine or sparkling water ticket to get your afternoon started.

- Dietary requirements -
If you are gluten free, please make yourself known to our team at check-in.
Although our team is a largely volunteer-led, we have included some vegetarian options on the main platters in efforts to cater to everyone's needs.

- Dress code -
The short answer... whatever makes you feel amazing! Frocking up? We are totally here for it! A great frock always makes an afternoon brighter and we cannot to wait to see you all looking fabulous!

- Seating -
• Purchased a group of eight? A pre-allocated table will be waiting for you.
• Coming in on your own or in a smaller group? Choose any spot (that is not reserved) and make yourself at home - it is a perfect chance to meet new faces and enjoy the atmosphere. Our team members will also be available to help you find a seat!

- Card payments only -
This is a cashless event, so please bring a card for any purchases.

PATHWAYS TO POTENTIAL LAUNCH

We are proud to launch Pathways to Potential at Barunga Village. This WorkFoundations grant-funded program supports individuals who may face complex barriers to employment by providing structured, supported and paid work placements.

Running from July 2025 to June 2027, the program will support 30 participants with tailored training, mentorship and wrap-around support, while helping us continue developing an inclusive and diverse workforce.

Key program elements include a buddy program (pictured), participant training and support packages, inclusive onboarding processes and formal evaluation.

The launch event brought together our first cohort of participants, their buddies and key stakeholders. We look forward to walking alongside them as they grow their skills, confidence and career pathways.

Join us for our Intergenerational Playgroup on Monday 10 November, where our younger and older friends will come together for a morning of creativity, connection and hands-on fun.

This week’s activity will be making poppies for Remembrance Day, along with a variety of other engaging activities suitable for all age groups.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Community representatives are invited to attend Barunga Village's Annual General Meeting as observers.

Business of the meeting will be as follows:
1. Presentation of Annual Report and Financial Statements.
2. Election of Auditors.
3. Election of new Board Members.
4. Confirmation of Public Officer of Association.
5. By permission of the Chairperson, any community representative or consumer representative may submit for discussion at the meeting any matters pertaining to Barunga Village but do not have a right to vote on any matter.
