Meet Hala: The Student & The Teacher.
Every great teacher begins as a devoted student.
And that is the story of Hala Horsley, woven tenderly into the tapestry that is TPW.
Hala first stepped into our studio as a student, drawn to the physicality of yoga through her love of rock climbing. But as her practice deepened, so too did her inner world. Through years of dedication, mothering, exploration, and returning again and again to the mat, yoga shifted from a tool of strength to a pathway of softness, clarity, and inner support.
It was here, within our walls, that Hala continued to awaken, experiencing profound transformation through movement, breath, and compassionate self-study.
These lessons are not theoretical for her; they are lived.
They hold the texture of birth, mental health, returning to work, and finding steady ground amidst life’s many transitions.
And now, she shares from this tender, authentic place of embodiment.
Never above or ahead
Always a student first.
Always humble.
Always curious.
This is what makes a true teacher.
Over the past year, we’ve had the honour of nurturing her path from student to facilitator — and Hala has been nurturing the community right back.
With a generous heart, she has offered her time, energy, and steady presence to support this community — guiding practice, uplifting others, and embodying the values of effort, ease, non-grasping, and compassion.
Her classes reflect her life:
🌿 structured yet soft,
🌿 grounded yet adventurous,
🌿 thoughtful yet deeply felt.
We are endlessly grateful to have her as part of our teaching family — one of the people’s people — a reflection of what TPW represents:
A community breathing life into a shared practice,
taking power into our own hands,
so that yoga continues to reach those who walk through our doors seeking connection, clarity, and care.
Thank you Hala,
For being a student,
For becoming a teacher,
For walking this path with heart.
We are so honoured to learn from you.
Align with Hala every Tue 5.45pm
