Do you make an excellent first impression? An opportunity has become available for someone with exceptional customer service skills to join our team as the Receptionist at our Pioneer Village Residential Aged Care Facility.
Pioneer Village, operated by the Eyre Peninsula Old Folks Home Inc, is located in picturesque Port Lincoln with a wonderful, relaxed country lifestyle. We are a community based 74-bed residential aged care facility situated at the southern tip of Eyre Peninsula in Port Lincoln, South Australia. As a primary provider of residential care and dementia services for the aged of the Southern Eyre Peninsula, we provide quality care and services to our clients in a manner that maintains and respects their individuality and dignity.
Role
Be the front line, the face and voice, for our facility, in person, by telephone and online. You will be greeting and assisting residents and visitors; and helping team members deliver quality service.
The successful applicant will possess exceptional customer service skills, high energy levels and the ability to provide effective and efficient administrative support within an age care facility setting. You will have daily contact with residents, their families and other visitors.
Some experience in administering an on-line presence will be advantageous.

Hourly rate between $33.00 and $35.11 β subject to skills and experience.
We are a Public Benevolent Institution so our employees can salary sacrifice up to $15,899 per annum TAX FREE and an entertainment card which is another $2,650 per annum TAX FREE, each FBT year. If you are moving from a metropolitan area, other salary packaging benefits may be available such as a Remote Area Employment Concessions which increases how much you can Salary Sacrifice before tax (see ATO website).

β’ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to manage and juggle multiple competing priorities.
β’ Ability to greet people politely and confidently; and guide them to appropriate area/person.
β’ Competent data entry and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
β’ The ability to handle switchboard duties and ensure customers are directed to the most appropriate person.
β’ Confidentiality at all times; can appropriately handle sensitive and confidential matters.
β’ Willingness to take on small projects and work autonomously at times.
β’ Ability to prioritise competing demands and excellent time management skills.
β’ Bubbly, confident, professional and possess a "can do" attitude.
β’ Self-motivated team player, who is mature-minded and willing to learn and be accountable.
β’ Good level of competency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
β’ Ability to manage a high volume of phone calls in a timely manner.
β’ Experience working with databases.
β’ Experience handling cash, preferably with book-keeping skills.
β’ Good keyboard skills.
β’ Experience and skills related to maintaining an online presence including website and Facebook.
β’ Extremely reliable and mature outlook to deal with a diverse range of responsibilities.
β’ Must have (or willing to obtain) a National Police Clearance for aged care.
