What an incredible day at headspace Port Lincoln as we celebrated the new space with young people, community, and our valued consortia members and stakeholders.

We were honoured to be joined by our Youth Reference Group, who led the event with confidence, heart, and lived experience. Their leadership and voices were at the centre of today and rightly so.

A huge thank you to Country SA PHN for their ongoing support and commitment to young people in our region, to Youturn for their incredible support, guidance and belief in our team, and to all the consortia and stakeholders who came together to help celebrate the opening of this new space.

We extend our deepest thanks to Kenisha Bilney (YRG Member) and Travis Nash for their beautiful Welcome to Country and for grounding the day in culture, connection and community.

So proud of what has been achieved, and excited for what this new space will mean for young people in Port Lincoln.

🌏 International Day of People with Disability

📅 3 December

Today, we celebrate the 5.5 million Australians living with disability — their strength, achievements and the incredible contributions they make to our communities. 💙💪

Let’s come together to build a world that celebrates inclusion, accessibility and understanding where everyone is valued for who they are. 🌈✨

Did you know? 👇
👤 1 in 5 Australians live with disability
👶 15% of people aged 0–64 have disability
👵 52% of people aged 65+ have disability
⚖️ 1 in 10 people with disability have experienced discrimination

Every action counts.

Every voice matters.

Together, we can see the ability in disability. 💫

🌍✨ Today is International Pronouns Day! ✨🌍

Every year on the third Wednesday of October, we celebrate the power of pronouns those seemingly small words that carry so much meaning, especially for trans and gender diverse communities.

You’ve probably heard someone say, “I don’t use pronouns.”
The truth? Almost everyone does. We use them to talk about each other and ourselves, often without even realizing it.

But for many, especially in the LGBTQIA+ community, being seen and respected through correct pronouns isn’t just grammatical it’s deeply personal. It’s about recognition, dignity, and belonging.

💡 One of our favorite moments? That lightbulb realization when someone understands how impactful it is to have their identity and pronouns respected.

So today, we invite you to:
🌈 Celebrate your pronouns whatever they are, wherever they are on your journey
💬 Share them proudly in your bio, on your badge, or in your intro
🤝 Respect others’ pronouns and commit to using them
📣 Use your platform to uplift this message and help create a world where everyone feels seen

And to all the allies out there:
📌 Displaying your pronouns shows others you’ll respect theirs.
It’s a small act with a big message: “You belong here.”

Let’s keep normalizing pronoun sharing, keep listening, and keep learning. Not just today but every day. 💜

🧡 Anti-Poverty Week 2025🧡
📅 October 12 – 18

Over 3.32 million Australians, including many children, are living below the poverty line.

This week, let’s turn awareness into action:
✨ Start conversations
📚 Share resources
🤝 Support solutions that break the cycle—especially for kids

We all have a role to play.
